For ages on and off I have been trying to source new seals for my basin pop-up and invariably the few I have tried have not sealed the plughole as well as the worn original. So, I ordered this product to see if it was any better.I have to say this is the way to go for me from now on as this item is a direct replacement for my original and it works wonderfully. No leakage (or at least not any noticeable leakage over 10-15 minutes) and very smooth operation.To replace the bad pop-up, just unscrew the chromed top, then using pliers or similar gently undo the old brass post. Fitting is a matter of screwing the new post into the exposed thread at the bottom of the waste outlet, then screwing the chromed lid on. Job done.For the price asked (currently £5.99) you replace the whole affair, rather than spend as much money on one or two seals that may or may not work.A good product that I am very happy to recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I have been having problems with the washbasin in the bathroom of my caravan. The problem is that the washbasin will not hold the water due to the washer perishing on the pop up stopper.I asked at a well-known DIY store, and also a plumber’s merchants, and they both said I would have to buy a new pop up stopper rather than just a replacement washer.Luckily enough I found this item on Amazon Vine, and have fitted it in my washbasin. I am pleased to say that it was easy to install (even for me who has never done one before) and is working well, so I am happy to recommend this product.

As long as you measure the diameter of your existing sink plug this will likely serve as a direct replacement. Installation is a breeze and it holds water in the basin well.My only concern is the coating on the plunger. It feels fairly think and might begin to peel, flake or corrode in a relatively short time? I could well be wrong, it might last for years, it just doesn't feel like a very thick coating.

This is a reasonable pop-up, bounce type universal sink drainage plug. It’s quite smart, and made from stainless steel / copper, with plastic basket. It does the job, is easy to fit, but is quite flimsy and lightweight. Also, there were no instructions, but 2 x different size rubber seals, the thinner of which I have no idea what it’s for. You have to stretch over (the larger of the sealing rings) the plug-hole guide part of the assembly, which then recesses into the groove, which forms the seal.As noted, it’s quite flimsy, but looks quite nice, and it’s easy to operate. Also, when closed, the water is properly prevented from draining, and doesn’t ‘seep’. However, and this is what lets this down rather, when opened, not all the water in the sink drains away fully. The shape of the stainless steel outer and the way it ‘sits’ causes water to sit around it. It should be designed with a totally flat, slightly angled inwardly down, so all water present runs away. This is slightly compounded by the actual pop-up, which doesn’t quite lift enough, and that also impedes the water draining. Occasionally, you have to wiggle it around a bit to allow drainage. Particularly if you have hard water, this is not ideal. We have a water softener, so not so much of an issue, but nonetheless….Overall, this is a bit of a budget product, that isn’t the best out there. To be honest, you’d be better off paying a bit more for a better quality one. It’s quite inexpensive, but it shows.I hope this is helpful

Lo compré porque se me rompió el tornillo pop-up, se quedo trabado y ni subía ni bajaba.Compré este conjunto con la intención de cambiar también el tapón-embellecedor, pero en mi caso me confundí a la hora de escoger las medidas y el tapón no me sirve, pero si el mecanismo pop-up que es realmente lo que necesitaba.Lo he montado y he utilizado el tapón que tenia ya que las medidas son estándares y me funciona a la perfección.La calidad de los materiales se ve muy buena, la rapidez en la entrega y la relación calidad-precio es perfecta.Recomiendo la compra.
