Good formula that worked well for me
This sunscreen is a little heavier than the watery essence ones I normally prefer, but still has a thinner formula than lotion types. It blends into skin well and I didn’t notice any greasiness or chalky feelings after applying it. I’m on the pale side, so I can’t say whether it would leave a white cast on deeper skin tones though. I didn’t have any irritation or break outs from using it regularly for a while. It does have a typical sunscreen scent, so avoid it if you really hate fragrances. Otherwise, it’s a decent formula that seems to offer good protection.

This formula is AMAZING! It passed my dermatologists test!
I am SO IMPRESSED with this sunscreen!I am a 41yo skincare junkie with sensative combo skin that I am obsessed with keeping as youthful and healthy looking as possible. I've spent the last several years trying to undo the damage that I did to my skin as a stupid, sun/tanning bed addict in my 20s. Now, you won't catch me outside without SPF on, even in the dead of winter in dreary Upstate NY.I'm open to using both chemical and mineral formulas, but I do carefully check all the ingredients in chemical formulas to make sure nothing is harmful for my body. I'm leaving the full ingredient list of this formula below. I will say that nothing in the list is dangerous to humans, however this is not considered a reef safe product due to a few of the ingredients. This product arrived quick. The box was fully sealed in plastic with a clear manufactured date (6/17/22) and expiration date (6/16/25) stamped on the box along with the open container symbol which states that the formula is good for 12 months after opening. Inside, one of the most beautiful sunscreen bottles I've ever used also has a safety seal over the bottle opening. The 1.69fl oz. squeeze bottle has a small valve type ring where the product comes out. This is a thoughtful and useful feature as it perverts the product from leaking out or exploding out of the tube. Distribution is easy and controlled. The creamy white formula is super thick. On my thickness scale, I give it a 9.5 (1 being water, 10 being body butter). It stays in place and doesn't drip (possibly due to the Acrylates/C10-30). As thick as this is, it spreads easily over the face. The warmpth of the skin helps melt the formula down almost so it doesn't pull or tug when spreading. This leaves absolutely NO white caste...at all. It does leave the skin super hydrated (thanks to all the emollients) and really does an incredible job at smoothing the skin and giving it a nice, even texture. This formula does not contain any added fragrance, however it does have a light, clean 'sunscreen' scent that I absolutely LOVE. Even on dreary days, the scent puts a smile on my face and makes me think of a bright, sunny day at the beach. This absorbs well into the skin, but it does take some time. Now, I know we don't always have time but making some is crucial for this product and SPF in general. To get the full protection, it is imperative to let it all sink into the skin to be effective. This takes 15 minutes for any chemical sunscreen! So while we are hasty to get our makeup on quick, you have to let this absorb to work! PLUS-For the first 5-8 minutes after this is applied, it does feel a but heavy on the skin. It can even feel a bit greasy. If you apply moisturizer or makeup over it before it's dry, it's going to pill or get very thick/greasy feeling.BUT...When you wait the 15 minutes that is recommended by dermatologists, this formula completely absorbs into the skin and doesn't feel the slightest but greasy or heavy. It will not pill when layered. It hydrates and plumps the skin, smooths it out and it evens the texture, leaving a smooth, glowing, primed surface ready for makeup or fun in the sun. When used as intended, this also gives EXCELLENT SPF protection!I tested this out with some UV stickers that my dermatologist gave me. The stickers are bright colored and fade over time when exposed to UV rays. She (my derma) said that 'good' sunscreens will fade the stickers in 50 minutes. 'Excellent' formulas will still have a bit of color after 80 minutes. So, on a recent trip to Florida where the UV index was a 10.3, I applied this to my face and the sticker. 80 minutes later, my sticker still had some purple color left on it! I mean, I already LOVED this stuff, and now I had proof that it wasn't just an amazing skincare product but truly an 'excellent' SPF, by my dermatologist standards.I absolutely LOVE this product! I will continue to purchase/use it for my sunless days in Upstate NY and for my getaways to sun/heat filled destinations. This is a legit formula that delivers on every single claim it makes. I think the $20 investment is very reasonable.Buy this now! You absolutely won't regret it!Just make sure you use it correctly and let it absorb for 15 minutes!Ingredients-Water, Butylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Octocrylene,Ethylhexyl Salicylate, ButylMethoxydibenzoylmethane,Arachidyl Alcohol, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid,Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclo-hexasiloxane, Triethanola-mine,Aluminum StarchOctenylsuccinate, CetearylAlcohol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyld- imethyl Taurate Copolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Polysorbate 60,1,2-Hexan- ediol,Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Propylene Glycol

No white cast!
Initially, I thought it couldn't be a sunscreen because it felt like a lotion. But you can definitely smell the sunscreen in this! It's not overwhelming though so it's fine by me. There is absolutely no white cast unlike others I've tried and it makes my face feel really moisturized and glowy.—NOTE: I have received this product for free or at a discounted value (paid during taxes). As a Vine reviewer, I am provided the opportunity to order items that are new to the market, or where a seller wants some additional exposure for their product. We are NOT required to review every item in exchange for using it. Because nothing can be returned, I only order things I would have purchased on my own and am able to test and review so that I can provide an honest evaluation. All opinions are my own. Here is my rubric:1 star - Absolutely terrible. Does not work at all or misleading. Wouldn’t get it again even if it is free. Would not recommend.2 stars - It had ONE single redeeming quality that warranted an additional star. Would not recommend.3 stars - Poor design/functionality in significant areas that need correction but still usable. Would only recommend under specific conditions.4 stars - I liked it but didn’t love it. There are minor flaws (cost, value, design, function) that if resolved, would make this 5 stars. Would probably recommend for others.5 stars - Met or exceeded all my expectations and worked well with regards to function, design, and cost. I would purchase this again and would recommend it to everyone.

I just don’t like sunscreen, sorry! That said, this is 7/10. Scent is tolerable, touch of perfume.
As a woman of “a certain age” I guess it’s time to start taking care of what I’ve been given! I have pretty good skin overall, especially for an old lady of 54, but I owe a lot of that to my vampiric tendencies of avoiding the sun at all cost - thus rarely having a need for sunscreen in the first place. 🙃 That said, sometimes it just can’t be avoided and I have to suck it up or fry like an egg in the sunshine.I can’t be the only one who can’t stand the typical smell of sunscreen - amiright?? I believe it’s the “zinc oxide” (which can also cause a white film if not properly formulated) but every so often I come across a product that doesn’t list it yet I still get a whiff of something that causes that visceral gut reaction of get-it-off-me-as-fast-as-possible!The L'Zur Face Sunscreen has the tiniest tinge of that typical “sunscreen” odor, much less than most of the decent SPF products, and it’s actually tolerable. There’s still a touch of perfume/fragrance, though, so I can’t call it “unscented.” I love the fancy gold lid (so bougie!) and it soaks in quickly without the dreaded white residue.I’m giving this 7/10 because, while it’s not going to be my FIRST choice, I would actually use this on my face if needed.Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!
