Suede & Nubuck Protector Spray, Water & Stain Repellent

It works! And no objectionable odor.

Good quality pump sprayer and applied well. Suede jacket soaked it up didn’t alter appearance or damage anything. Used it on my motorcycle riding jacket. I applied liberally, I needed the entire bottle to cover a XXL men’s jacket. Ordered a second bottle as I want to do two applications. My jacket gets punished riding motorcycles! This products helps not only make exterior water resistant but helps clean bugs off of it too

It’s an 8oz bottle. It’s very large full of lots of the product. I got it for one pair of shoes I bought and it covered them multiple times and I still have most the bottle left. So if you’re looking for a bigger size this is a good one. It was a pretty reasonable price although I probably didn’t need such a big bottle for my one pair of shoes. The appearance is nice as it is white in the bottle but sprays on clear. Seems to have nice durability, I probably could have done another coat of it for better protection. To my knowledge it doesn’t remove stains, just prevents them. It’s a nicely designed bottle and came without any leaks.

A good spray, effective against snow and water. Sprays evenly and dries quickly.

I was hesitant to try something because of all the products I checked, reviews were so mixed for them. I bought my first pair of uggs, they’re more sneaker like than the typical boots that first came out. I sprayed a test spray into the air away from the boots to make sure the sprayer wasn’t clogged before EACH coat I did. I tested a spot first on the tongue because if it stained, the laces would hide it anyways and it worked well. So I did the full shoes. I did about 8 coats in total over several days. I would do 1 coat, about 8 inches away, very light and not repeating sprays in the same area, around the whole shoe; put it off to the side to dry for several hours and then did the other. There is one tiny spot that has two very tiny droplet marks/stains, but knowing I took all the precautions I could, I wasn’t upset over it. When all was said and done, I tested it by wetting my finger and letting the water drip onto the shoe, and it did not soak in, it rolled off. Haven’t taken them out into winter/rain conditions yet but I feel like for general expectations, this works. It is a shoe after all, I wouldn’t expect perfection from any one product.

This product works very well at providing a water resistant seal without effecting the color or finish of the leather or suede. I would recommend this product for an affordable leather treatment.

Works Well

The ‘Care & Cool Suede and Nubuck Protector’ came as an 8 ounce plastic bottle with a pump spray top (not aerosol). The box indicates instructions for use, and informs that the product is ‘Formulated in Reno, Nevada and produced in Turkey’. I like that the bottle is not aerosol; however, I think using a pump spray is a bit more difficult to be precise and neat during application. In addition, the pump spray on my bottle frequently dripped and resulted in protector on my hand. As with most similar products, applying two light coats is probably easier than applying a single heavy coat, especially with a pump spray. I applied the product to a single red suede athletic shoe (new in box, never worn). I do think the treated shoe is a slight shade darker when compared to the untreated shoe; however, once both shoes are treated there will be no difference of course. (There is no discoloration, just a very slight darkening.) The box definitely mentions that you should test a hidden area before applying to any item, and that is wise advice. The protector did not adversely affect other parts of the shoe, such as the rubber sole or smooth leather tongue. The box and the bottle do not mention how often to reapply this product, but the Care & Cool website suggests every two to three months in the FAQ section.

Treated Birkenstock suade boots and walked in snowy woods. They are spotless! Very happy.

I bought nubuk leather cowboy boots. I love the boots and I really needed something to protect them. This did not change the color very much. It did slightly though, just so you're warned, and it works really well to protect my boots from the mud and stuff on my farm.

I used this on my Timberland’s and it works great

The main issue I noticed with this is that it makes my suede a little darker than the original colour! This can be nice for some people as it gives more character but for my purposes, I didn’t want any change of colour. Besides that issue, it protected against the elements of light rain.

i liked the fact it was fairly "odor free"...however, the "pump spray" feature left my fingers sore, wet...not to mention several drips on the floor for me to wipe up as i used it on a new "loveseat".
