Harry the Dirty Dog: A Beloved Classic About a Stubborn Dog Who Absolutely Refuses Bath Time and Makes a Mess (Harry the Dog)

This book is a classic in our family. My nieces loved it and now their kids do, too. The contrasting colors in the drawings are lively and the story is fun. Highly recommended for ages infant to about six, kids will love to have it read aloud before they can read on their own.

This was one of my kiddo's favorite books as a toddler and early reader. It is clever and funny with great illustrations. This purchase was a gift for a new baby in the family.

Truly happy with having found such a perfect copy of a classic book for my grandson starting school. The seller, autismgrdpa22, made sure the book was well packaged and timely. They even followed up with a nice letter and commitment to their products. Happy to promote an excellent small business.

This is a book that will grow along with my son. Some of the story line is difficult to understand, but my son gets the basic concept. Right now, he loves to point out all of the different elements on each page: a train! a car! a boy! As he ages, the book will begin to take on more meaning. The book is about a dog who does not want to take a bath, so instead he runs out the door and finds mischief while playing around in town. He starts to get hungry and lonely and finds his way back home, but the family doesn't recognize him because he's so dirty. He used to be a white dog with black spots, but now he's a black dog with white spots. This is a classic children's book and one that I'm so glad we have in our home library. It's really a must. The size is just right and the book is quite sturdy for the adventurous toddler grip. We even found the companion DVD and I'm amazed at how the animation only enhances the story, not over powers it. I purchased this book for my granddaughter as I had read the story regularly to my daughter 40 years ago and she loved it. I had somehow lost the original book so was thrilled to find it still available. This copy is much smaller than the original but content still the same. My granddaughter obviously hasn’t a clue what a coal chute is so had to explain! Story is reflective of the time it was written.
