Good choice for VIOFO A229
Overview When it comes to 4K dash cams like my VIOFO A229, the memory card is usually the weakest link. Iโve had "high-speed" consumer cards fail in the past due to the constant heat and overwriting cycles. I decided to stick with the VIOFO Industrial Grade 256GB card to ensure total compatibility, and it has been flawless. Most people donโt realize that dash cams write and erase data constantly, which generates significant heat. This "Industrial" version is rated for those high-endurance cycles. Since installing it, I havenโt had a single "Memory Card Error" or sluggishness when trying to view footage via Wi-Fiโsomething I frequently experienced with cheaper cards. Compatibility The biggest selling point here is the lack of "compatibility anxiety." Using the VIOFO-branded card removes that guesswork. It was recognized immediately by my A229, and the formatting process took seconds (literally 3 seconds) Performance 4K Reliability: It handles the high bitrate of 4K 30/60fps without dropping frames. Heat Resistance: Even with the car sitting in the sun, the card hasnโt glitched or corrupted any files. (I live in Arizona, no issues so far) Included Adapter: The microSD-to-SD adapter is a nice inclusion for when I want to pull the card and view footage on my laptop. Pros: *Guaranteed Compatibility: No more "Card Error" beeps from the dash cam. *High Endurance: Built for the 24/7 loop recording environment. *Fast Read/Write: Handles Ultra HD 4K footage without buffering. Cons: *Price: Itโs slightly more expensive than a standard card. Final Verdict If you are investing in a high-end dash cam, don't cheap out on the storage. This card offers the peace of mind that your footage will actually be there when you need it. Itโs a mandatory upgrade for the A229 series.

My SanDisk Lasted 2 Months. This One Just Works.
I originally bought a SanDisk High Endurance card for my dash cam because, well, it literally says High Endurance on it. Surely that means it is a good choice for something that records constantly, right? Apparently my dash cam disagreed. About 2 months later I started getting errors and beeping, and eventually I was pulling the card out and reinserting it just to get the camera recording again. I replaced it with this VIOFO Industrial Grade card and have not had a single issue since. The thing I underestimated is just how abusive a dash cam is to an SD card. It is constantly writing and overwriting footage, potentially recording multiple 4K camera feeds, all while sitting inside a car that can get ridiculously hot. This card is actually designed around that kind of continuous recording. 256GB is also a nice amount of storage because you get plenty of footage before loop recording starts overwriting older files. Is it more expensive than grabbing a random 256GB card? Yep. But the entire purpose of a dash cam is to have footage when something goes wrong. Saving a few bucks on the one component responsible for actually storing that footage suddenly seems pretty silly. My cheaper card lasted 2 months. I put this one in and basically forgot SD card errors were even a thing. That alone makes it worth it to me.

Pairs great with my dashcam
Works as intended. Has not malfunctioned or anything and captures everything well within my dash cam. Easy to format, plug and play. Storage is great depending on the quality and resolution of settings.

Works perfectly
I'm glad I didn't try a another brand because it formatted perfectly with no problems and and is built to withstand the heat of a dash cam. I don't need the headaches of an off brand. If you got a great web cam, don't cut it short with a cheap card. Very pleased and highly recommended, no problems whatsoever!

Good Quality SD Card, Little Expensive
Expensive, but specs seem to be on the mark and hopefully means I don't have to worry about the SD card failing on me when I need it most. I'm planning on grabbing 2-3 more so I have some to swap around just to guarantee they stay as reliable as possible. Easy to put in the camera, doesn't change camera quality at all, and works with other dashcams if I ever upgrade

A Great Match for My VIOFO Dash Cam
I bought this 256GB VIOFO microSD card to use with my VIOFO A229 Pro dash cam. I figured it made sense to go with the same brand, especially since the camera records in 4K and needs a memory card that can handle continuous recording. The 256GB capacity is a big plus, giving me plenty of room for front and rear video recordings before the dash cam starts overwriting older footage. I also like that it's an industrial-grade, high-endurance card designed for frequent writing and rewriting, which is important for dash cams. It's a little more expensive than regular microSD cards, but I think it's worth spending a bit more on something designed specifically for this purpose. So far, I'm happy with my purchase, although only time will tell how well it holds up. If you own a compatible VIOFO dash cam and want a high-capacity memory card designed for continuous recording, I'd definitely recommend this one. It's worth considering rather than taking chances with a regular memory card.

Reliable SD card for dashcam
Been using this SD card for my Viofo dash cam and it's been working great. Haven't had any issues with the card corrupting or randomly having my footages deleted. They claim to be more temperature resistant, which is reassuring, because it gives you peace of mind that the dash cam footages will be saved.
