Excellent filter after two year from setting up my tank I got a very bad case of green alga could not see to the back of the tank. Tried a chemical cure but this did not work. It took 10 days to clear the green algae but now the water is crystal clear.

New to this so all the stories about new tank syndrome etc I have read watched and consumed. For weeks and weeks I have had a good tank. No issues. No spikes in nasty chemicals etc. quite quickly I got a bloom. No idea which so thought best to see which before addressing the issue. Off to fish shop for water test. Bacterial bloom they say so do this and buy this etc.Sorted. So off I trot with all my new products, and plants and a little lighter in my wallet! and away we go. Day 1 nothing. Ok leave it. Day 7. Pea soup!?!!So took a gamble on being algae bloom as was in verge of giving up. Worth pointing out that fish were fine and no issues thankfullySo bought this and thought can do no harm at least. Followed guide and 2 days in nothing. Right. 50% water change ( I had been doing 20 regularly prior) and this is it. No more after this. Boom! Within 3 days it’s crystal. UNBELIEVABLE after the advice and direction given. I can see my fry which did not know I had?!!So the product is simple and easy to use and setup. Comes well packaged and obvious not designed for UK market with the two pin plug and instructions you can manage with but they provide adapter and QR for set up if you struggle with instructions but it’s simple to follow the pics. The light is hard to see once in which is as expected as don’t want UV coming out in a beam!? But you can see. You get the ability to aerate too with a tube and many folks say you can’t adjust the flow. You can. Turn the blue valve as per guide.I think the reason it was not working initially was just too much for it to make a difference that could be seen so once 50% water change it had a chance and took it. Used non stop for three days and all clear. I now intend to use a few hours a day to keep it clear and utilise as an aerator and remove my stones etcWorth every pennyMy only advice is make sure it’s algae you trying to address as in my case if addressing the wrong bloom it’s expensive and like a blunt pencil. Pointless!

The filter worked great for 1 month. It cleared the water great and there was no smell. Now after a month of use, it doesn’t clear the tank and the smell is awful. I do clean the tank once a week and change the water but will have to buy a new filter now.Very disappointed with the quality of the pump. Not easy to open, to clean each week and has been a complete waste of money.

This was my 2nd filter to try after having algae that seemed impossible to get rid of, within, did a water change and installed it, was cloudy for the first 24 hrs but then gradually went Crystal clear, a week on and it's still clear, it's also silent, very pleased with it

Had issues with my last filter, this one is pretty damn good for my tank, easy to clean, great suction to the side of the glass.Decent power and circulates the water well.Only con is:Wish the flow could be adjusted a little, and that little plastic pipe from the air outlet is pretty annoying when trying to position out the tank.But all in all, i do like it.

I had a major problem with my daughters huge tank. She didn’t want to deal with it so I took over. Turned out to be an algae bloom. I was throwing bottles of stuff in to try and clear it and absolutely nothing was happening. After a quick google I decided to try this as a last resort. The pics I’m attaching show day one when it was just green water and an absolute nightmare. The after pic is 6 days later. The clarity of the water is incredible. I’ve cleaned the filter once. Also took 2 buckets of water out for a partial water change. It’s easy and trust me I’m a complete novice obviously. If you have an algae bloom and no external to fit a uv onto buy this it’s incredible.

The Filter is very powerful, too powerful for my 200 litre marine tank because the out-put control made no difference when turned down. The air pipe was kinked in a number of places and the control wheel also would not adjust the air flow. If these niggling problems were solved by the manufacturer it would be a very useful piece of equipment. I am not a novice in respect to fish keeping and with over sixty years in the hobby have used many different filters, for fresh and salt water aquariums. I have today received a different make and it is working perfectly with none of the problems mentioned. I get no pleasure writing such a review but I hope it may save others from wasting their money and maybe the manufacturer will take note and eliminated these problems.

I was a bit skeptical getting this UV filter, as I'd been battling green water for a couple of months and NOTHING was working. This was my last resort, and honestly it should have been my go-to solution. These pictures were taken just under 3 weeks apart, with 1/3 water changes weekly. The change is astounding. Still has some residual cloudiness, but that should reduce with continued water changes.This filter comes with spare filter sponge and a spare UV bulb (which is a huge bonus). The bulb should last 8,000 hours, or 333 days approximately of continuous operation. I wouldn't use this as the primary filter for your tank, but as a secondary filter. I have mine on the opposite side to my main filter to increase water circulation. The top nozzle where the water comes out is a little flimsy/loose, but will stay on if left alone.This has been a lifesaver. I wasn't able to see my fish for 2 months, and in less than 3 weeks it's almost fully back to normal. I would definitely recommend to anyone else struggling with green water. My tank is 125l for reference.

Alles klappt super soweit. Wie man auf den Fotos sehen kann wird das Wasser tatsächlich wieder klar. Leider ein Stern Abzug weil man den Durchfluss nicht regulieren kann. Sonst super.

Pompa non particolarmente potente ma, associato alla luce UV, sembra efficace: la spugna interna filtra il particolato, la lampada UV "sterilizza", la pompa è utilizzabile anche per un po' di movimento in più...!!Un appunto: le ventose reggono davvero poco!! Io ho incollato una calamita al supporto e adesso è perfetta!!
