Is Chair Zero a rocking chair?

No, and we don't have a compatible Helinox Rocking Feet accessory for it. If you want a rocking chair, you can choose Chair One series, Sunset chair (re) or Savanna chair together with a pair of compatible rocking feet.

Can it be used in a windy weather? Will it be blowed away easily if it's so lightweight?

You can use Helinox lightweight chairs in a windy weather with the help of our Chair Anchor which pushes easily into dirt, sand, or turf to create a safe, secure anchoring system.

Is the standard Chair Zero durable enough for rugged backcountry use?

Yes. It features a highly durable 100D Aramid polyester ripstop fabric that resists tears, punctures, and abrasions from rocks or twigs. This is paired with premium, anodized DAC aluminum poles that won't snap under pressure.

Who is the Helinox Chair Zero best for, and what is it ideal use for?

Best for average adults up to 5'11" who prioritize cutting pack weight but want a functional backrest, it is ideal for long-distance thru-hiking, multi-day backpacking treks, alpine base camps, and minimalist bikepacking.
