Similar to Weavers but no equivalency to Sure-Jell is given.
I made one batch of grape jelly and it seemed to gel fine. Seemed comparable to the Weaver's that I used before. I would not use their universal recipe given on the Medley Hills label. They list a single recipe, apparently for all types of fruit jellies or jams. If you look at Sure-Jell recipes, the quantity of fruit or juice and sugar to be added varies considerably with the type of fruit and its natural pectin content. Also some recipes recommend lemon juice to change the pH and how hard it sets. The Weaver's pectin showed that 5 tbsp of bulk pectin was equivalent to one package of Sure-Jell. Medley Hills does not give such an equivalency, but I would bet it is the same. I keep a Sure-Jell package insert for their recipes for different fruits/juices and use that, though I usually use more fruit or juice than their recipes call for since I like my jams and jellies a bit softer rather than having to use a knife to cut it. If you do that, be sure to keep the same ratio of fruit to sugar that the recipe calls for so the taste is the same even if not so firm.

Somethings changed?
I've purchased this brand previously and had no issues. This batch however, I've attempted 3 different batches of Jam with and not one of them set properly. Very disappointing. Not sure whats so different with this particular batch of pectin, but it was a waste of money for the pectin and all the Ingredients in my ruined jams.
