I have an 87lb female German Shepherd, I’ve tried front harnesses, chocker chains, regular collar leashes and I sure more and this leash by far is the easiest to put on and the best for control because of the way it slides side to side with my dog. It’s heavy duty and well made.

I must say, it is probably the easiest to use collar/leash combo. martingale (fancy way of saying choke collar?) style. fit is easily adjustable, got this 1/2 since i baby the dogs, so that my dog's skinny neck won't get choked by accident with a narrower ones. walk control is cake, bike ride was fantastic (no more "click ching chang ring... repeat"). since i went wider collar, i had to DIY adjustments on the collar length (cut like 4in). if you just get the width of your dog's neck size this procedure wouldn't be necessary. many colors to chose from, fancy looking, highly functional. if you are looking for a new walking leash, i recommend this.

This is a nice sturdy product. Its very well constructed and the wide neck piece makes it much more comfortable for the dog but you still have slip lead control. This model definitely will not work for small dogs. I got this leash as an extra to keep in the my truck, in case I ever needed to grab a leash when my dogs are with me while I run errands, etc. It's great on my big boy but my little guy can walk right out of it. It's a big dog ONLY leash!

I already have a pink one. I let clients try it out to see how works on their dog and for them. A lot of them like the option of having the collar/leash combo and it is easier to get on than having to find the look and hook up the leash, especially when you have dogs that like to mouth any time to try to mess with them or their collar. I am a dog trainer. I decided I needed another.

A very convenient combo of a martingale-style collar and leash, all in one. I like the martingale because my dog is a little on the nervous side and would pull back and out of his regular collar; this prevents that. The leash material is soft and so far (eight months) has held up well, including two machine washings (in a mesh bag). My only quibble is that I wish Mendota would offer an intermediate size: the regular-size Dog Walker is too small for my 60-pound dog, but with the Big Dog Walker, when the two D-rings at each end of the neckpiece are pulled all the way together, it's a smidge too big, though still reasonably effective.

I bought three of these leashes for my whippets, and they all slip off within seconds. For me, they are useless. I have had to concoct zip tie remedies to keep them from slipping off, but this makes it all but impossible to put them on or get off. A true hassle.

High-quality dog walker a little hard to put on, but that is user error. Great for training dogs.

This easy to use leash and collar combo was the easy slip on I needed for taking my dog out to use the bathroom. You can absolutely use this on walks as my dog normally wears a martingale coller. Will this stop the pulling? Absolutely not, but it does help. If pulling gets too bad, you can easily wrap the dog with this combo and continue on. The one thing I do not like is that it can get slick if it's wet outside or you have sweaty hands. So minor that I am keeping my rating at 5 stars.

This leash is beautiful, vibrant color an is durable, however it is HUGE it could work on a horse. It's too big for my german shepherd for the martingale part to work propertly.. but oh well it's gorgeous anyway, but to be used with HUGE dogs only ( 18 inch neck and over )

works well, nice length to it, ordered by mistake as it was not really the one I wanted, but it's a leash, slip it on and slip it off very easily, got to be careful tho as it can come off if dog starts thrashing around, got to be held tight

Bought this in several colours. It's strong enough for my larger dogs. However it's a bit too bulky to manage. Wanted it to move the dogs from crates to paddock and while it does function, I wish it were a little less bulky.

I got the big dog walker as a harness leash for my female greyhound. Once the leash harness was put around her barrel the leash I ended up having in my hand was give or take 50 cm long. All in all I can't use it as it's not long enough for my dog to walk freely while wearing it. It's just too short. It is soft and I love the feel of it in my hand but just too short.
