Incredible item. Setup could be a tad bit easier and I feel that the manual is written by a chimpanzee and could be streamlined in a better way so as to make the set up much more intuitive and seamless. That being said once you know what they're talking about in the manual, the set up goes very quickly and easily. The product itself is top notch it already saved us with a leak in our upstairs HVAC furnace. Our home has two HVACs and we had a new humidifier installed on one of the HVACs and we wanted to ensure the new install wasn't dripping. So I set one of the 4 Govee detector node under the humidifier and as soon as a few drips of leak happened the unit immediately alerted me on my phone in real time. I LOVE how responsive and reliable it is and it did the job excellently that I purchased it for. Not to mention that this node was easily at least 75 feet away from the wifi bridge. Even then it caught the leak and relayed it to my phone within seconds. Very impressed and Highly recommend it.

Before I get into the product review, I want to call out Govee for incredible customer service. One of the sensors I received had a slight issue. When the pre-installed battery was put in, the battery bent the spring in the compartment. I was able to bend it back to get it to work, however it was slightly loose and I was worried about the device long term as the batteries are replaced.Amazon, for some reason, was not much help. I got the feeling that I would have to go through the trouble of returning the full kit. I ended up contacting Govee directly and explained the issue to them, I also included a picture but in all honesty it is hard to tell in a pic that something is wrong. Govee responded to me within 24 hours offering to send me a replacement sensor. While this sounds trivial, I have had horrible experiences lately with manufacturers support, Eufy, I am talking about you. Kudos for resolving this for me so quickly without requesting me to send you multiple videos or a blood sample.As for the product itself, it works as expected. Be sure to test each sensor before you deploy them! Setup was pretty straightforward and I didn't run across any issues. The app works great on all my different devices, and the local alarm is very loud.I really like how the sensors also show in Google home. I use the Govee products for water leak detection, Kasa for smart light switches, samsung for home appliances and Eufy for cameras and security. All of them but Eufy work great under Google home to give me a unified view of all my smart products.My one complaint is the main hub/transmitter. If you notice in the picture the device takes up two sockets in the wall plug when it obviously only needs one. A very silly oversight by the product team but it doesn't impact my installation.Cheers!

Works well. It has already saved us from water damage twice. It has a local alert along with an app notification and is reusable.

Easy setup. Install the app which walks you through the process. Sensors arrive paired with the hub so not much to do other than provide your home network login and give each sensor a name. I placed them in the water heater pans in our attic. Wish the sensors were louder (100 decibels), but they are loud enough to hear when in the general area. Other water leak sensors can produce up to 130 decibels. App sends a notification alert message to your phone when a sensor is triggered. Other alerts include Amazon Alexa announcements and receiving an email. If you would rather receive a text message instead of an email, just search for instructions on how to send an email as a text message using your phone service provider. For AT&T, just replace the notification email address with: [your 10-digit phone number]@mms.att.net. For example, [email protected]. This will allow you to receive text alerts instead of email alerts.

Installed this system at our 2nd home in the NH White Mountains, 150 miles and a couple of hours plus drive from our primary residence. For that reason I wanted to install a leak detection system with sensors in the kitchen, both bathrooms, and the basement near the water handling equipment (pump, softener, acid neutralizer, UV sanitizer, and polishing filter). The sensors scream locally if water is detected and the hub sends email.We also have a "Pump Stop" unit in the same basement area that would hopefully trigger and prevent catastrophic water damage but having a notification system provides some extra assurance that a leak won't go unnoticed. Setup was easy as was connecting to our local wifi system, and each sensor can be named as one desires so messages will localize which sensor detected water first.Cheers!

we bought this item 2 days ago. last night during dinner 1 of the alarms went off in our bathroom. to our surprise we had a leak. looks like it had a small leak for a long time. I felt it had already paid for itself when buying this item. today again to our surprise the alarm went off in our garage. our washing machine sink overflowed. so owning this item for 2 days we had 2 alarms to let us know we had a problem. so glad my son told us about this smart water leak detector. well worth every penny

I own a lot of Govee sensors at various properties but the connection reliability of the distribution units is bad. Having to connect Bluetooth in order to set up or connect to WiFi is a mess that doesn’t seem to work well. Worse is it requires 2.4g . The tech is just too primitive. Govee needs to do much better before I’ll buy anymore I’m sick of seeing an orange light after twenty minutes of their nonsense with no connection and all my sensors not working.

Nice product works as intended, I have 12 in my home protecting us from water leaks.

Pedi estos sensores ya que tengo un hermano con discapacidad que suele dejar las llaves abiertas del lavamanos hasta que se desbordara el agua en los baños, afortunadamente esta solucion me ayudaria a resolver este problema, probe cada sensor para colocarlos en cada lavamanos de mi casa pero mi sorpresa fue que uno llego defectuoso en todo lo demas funciono bien y pueden ser desactivada la alarma desde la aplicacion.

It is kind of hard to review a product you hope you never need!But installation was easy, and I did test it out by dripping water on it and by putting it down on a slightly wet floor after mopping. It worked. I had a non-smart alarm near my internal ac and water tank, and the ac started to leak. That alarm alerted us right away, we shut it off, and saved us potentially thousands in water damage. Investing in this product is a no brainer.

Easy to set up. I tested it and it works great. Send me alerts to my phone. Seems to be a great quality. Hopefully I never have to find out as I rather have no water leaks lol.
