Auto Tools Direct Compatible with VAG 2.0 TDi Diesel Engine Timing Kit

Crank holding pin worked great. Intake cam pin worked fine, exhaust cam pin just did not want to go in. Measured both pins and one was slightly thicker so just wouldn’t go in fully, so I sanded it down a bit using a drill and 600 grit sand paper. Also the rubber heads/handles very easily come off so I just found two bolts and washer to use instead. Cam belt tensioner pin worked fine, and so did the auxiliary belt tensioner pin fit fine too. Overall the kit was ok if you have to modify it, but it shouldn’t have to need modifying in the first place, hence the 3 star review. Plus I have a scanner so can check timing and the exhaust timing was fine but the intake timing was 3 degrees out, not a big issue but would lose a bit of low end torque if not set perfectly. Just look at torsion value which vw says should be 0, and fuel consumption set to 0.6 which prevents that low end shudder on BKD engines but you lose a bit of mpg, 0.4 is best for economy but the car idle isn’t as smooth and cold start not as nice. Always check values once the car is upto temp. If the pins are uses correctly you don’t need to check values with a scan tool it should be fine.
