Good for the money
It's a bit flexible from one side to another but still getting the job done. Overall good. You will definitely need the supports.

Unusable for its intended purpose
The friction is far too great. Its not possible to achieve a smooth movement with this slider. It sticks and jumps and requires too much force to move the mounting plate. Avoid.

Mergh --- ill be sliding to a new slider...
The NEEWER 31.5in/80cm Carbon Fiber Camera Slider is a mixed bag, and I have some reservations about its performance. While it has its merits, the one area where it falls short is in providing a truly smooth sliding experience.Pros:Sturdy Build: I must commend the slider's construction. The carbon fiber build feels robust and durable, making it well-suited for outdoor shooting and travel.Decent Length: At 31.5 inches (80cm), the slider offers a good amount of slide length, providing versatility in my shots.Portability: It's relatively lightweight for its size, making it manageable to carry to different shooting locations.Cons:Smoothness Issues: My main gripe with this slider is its lack of smoothness. When I initially started using it, I had high hopes for silky-smooth camera movements. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The slider tends to have noticeable friction and resistance, making it challenging to achieve the fluid, professional-looking shots I had in mind. This issue was particularly frustrating during video projects where smooth motion is crucial.

Good Quality
The bottom mounting threads are a different pattern but, the build quality is excellent.

Hard to Define The Use Case for This
Ok, I've been testing this out for a long time and haven't written a review because I'm torn on it. If you are doing some very basic b-roll or transitions, this is great. It's pretty smooth, although I have had a few times that I'm moving really slowly and it seems to be a little rougher than I'd like. Small vibrations showed up in the video. Not sure if that was from me, or from the rig, but it's repeatable at low-speed.Where I'm confused is that I also have several gimbals, and they are the smoothest way to get good video. At the cost of this, roughly around $100, you can get pretty good quality, but for a bit more money, you can get the ultimate in smoothness and get a gimbal. That also gives you more flexibility on when and where you use it.Now, this is also static, meaning that you can't move it around, so that's another negative on using a slider. Are there places you can use this that you can't use a gimbal? I can't think of one, but this doesn't require batteries, has a very limited learning curve, and isn't something that's likely to die if you get it wet like a gimbal. So, that leads me back to the beginning. I'm torn on who to recommend this to. It's nice for what it is, and if you're set on getting a slider, this is a good place to start, although more expensive ones are going to be smoother at lower speeds. Overall, this is pretty nice for what it is.
