This is a good idea however the plastic used was very soft and when it's sitting in the sun baking, it makes it even worse. It still holds the phone just wish it was made of a harder plastic

I travel with my phone mostly in my back pocket as I have "Android Auto" and also a Ford built-in navigation system which means I do not have to manipulate the phone at all when driving. This is a good thing and makes driving safer. On longer drives, the phone in the back pocket becomes uncomfortable so, typically, I'll transfer it from my pocket to a cup holder. But when driving with someone else in the car, both cup holders are used for other things and I have nowhere convenient to place the phone in. So...when I saw this device on Amazon, I thought it might be a good solution...somewhere to put the phone where it would be out of the way, clearly visible and secure.But alas...unfortunately I was not able to use it. Why? Because I have a newer model Ford Edge and there is just nowhere, I mean nowhere, to place this stick-on holder where it is out of the way, visible and secure. Sure it is possible to use it but only in places in my car where it would look weird.It is too bad as the holder seems like a good solution, is well made and can be used both vertically or sideways. The Edge is sorta compact in the interior. A truck or sedan would have more room inside and likely offer many places where this phone holder could be used.
