Pendragon Starter Set

I'm just getting started back into the game system.And I really like it

A great game from the past with a more simplified rules system.

I remember this from way back when. It was all really good, except that the original edition had a fantastic map of medieval England, which this edition is sorely lacking. Otherwise, I loved it. I really enjoyed the opposed virtues, so that if one raised the other would lower. Great mechanic.

Chaosium does beautiful starter sets for all their games and this is no exception. This is an absolutely beautiful starter set for a beautiful game. So happy I bought this, it was worth every penny. If this peeks you fancy at all, get it. You won’t be disappointed!

The system has far more crunch than I prefer. Lots of redundant rules, the character sheets are very dense and crowded. The language and terms used weren’t natural feeling for me. It came off as a good system that other people would enjoy. The product itself is amazing for the price. Super high quality and just chock full of books and such. The packaging and art are all on point. Great game for people who like more crunch!

I was really excited for this product. It lacked background, seemed choppy, and felt like a box set from the 80s. Not abandoning Pendragon, but was nonplussed by this box set. Could have skipped and just got the core book.

The box had shelf wear and the bottom was already dented in. For someone who wants to play this no problem but for a collector this was far from acceptable for what I paid for it.

PENDRAGON es uno de mis juegos de rol favoritos, por el setting principalmente. Chaosium recuperó los derecho despues de varios años a otro de sus juegos insignia. Esta 6ta edición de Pendragon, SUPUESTAMENTE, esta basada en una nueva edicion de Greg Stafford que no vio la luz debido a su fallecimiento (2018). La caja de inicio tiene 3 libros: el 1ro es Solo Mode; el 2do son las reglas en enorme profundida y el 3ro es una campaña, tarjetas, personajes y dados. Todo tiene excelente arte, si bien la aventura deja mucho que desear, ya que no tiene separado texto entre que describir o narrar a los jugadores y que es lo que debes saber solo el narrador, ésto lo hace un poco menos "fácil" para un jugador/narrador novato. Fuera de esa queja el material y su costo la hace completamente accesible.
