I came across these earphones as one of the limited time deals on Amazon. I already owned a pair of the beats studio buds but thought I'd get a 'spare' pair with a different design. These exceeded expectation. The sound is crisp and immersive and customisable with soundcore's EQ. They even use tests to take into account your hearing preferences. The earphones have a range of active noise cancelling options. You can choose to have the ANC adapt to the environment or based on the transport mode you find yourself using. Alternatively you can set the degree of noise cancellation from 1 - weak to 5- strong on the app. There is also an option for a transparency mode that allows more sound from the environment. Whilst this isn't as transparent as I'd like, it does a good job at letting in important noises such as car horns or bells and is transparent enough to have a conversation with somebody face to face. The wind noise reduction is excellent and was a feature that trumps the beats studio buds I have. I am able to still hear music well whilst on transparency mode on a windy day. The earphones feature dual mode on Bluetooth which means that I can connect two devices to it at any given time. I am able to answer calls from work and listen to music from my phone. The Bluetooth also supports the LDAC codec (big +++ if you're an android phone user) which allows for higher quality sound (bear in mind you must actively select this and download the software for this in the soundcore app). The earphones themselves fit great. I was at first skeptical but they seem to fit snug without overcrowding the ear and come with a few different sizes of ear buds. The control functions on the earphones are touch-sensitive and can be customised in the app to suit your preference. From play/pause to switching between Noise Cancellation and transparency mode. The control features make it so that I don't need to take out my phone and can adjust volume, noise cancellation and skip soundtracks on the go. The case could be more durable but feels very premium, especially with the lights that turn on when you place your earphones back in. It is a good size that could fit in any pocket. The battery life on both the earphones and case is exceptional. I got these on sale for about £57 and I couldn't help but feel like they were an absolute steal at this price. They feel premium and offer exceptional sound quality and customisability with a comfortable and secure fit. These are superb value for money and I really think that, even at full price (~£80 I think), they are such a bargain!

Not much to say these are fantastic they are far better than my liberty 5 earbuds a pure rich sound easy fit and fully managed by the soundcore app you have the option of a fit test and to test your hearing the noise cancelling function works well for me and so far I’ve not had the charging issues that I have with the liberty 5 I wish I’d bought these first they are so much better

I’ve been using Anker audio products since 2016 and have owned a few different pairs of their earphones over the years, so I’ve seen the brand evolve from simple wired Bluetooth models to their more advanced true-wireless lineup. Comparing my older Anker SoundBuds Surge from 2019 with my latest purchase, the Anker Liberty 4 NC from 2025, I can say the newer pair offers a big jump in features, design and modern convenience — but not a dramatic improvement in actual sound quality. They’re fine, they function well, but considering the hype around them, they could have been better. The SoundBuds Surge were a surprisingly strong pair for their time. They delivered warm, enjoyable sound with a natural tone that worked especially well with acoustic music. The Bluetooth connection was reliable, always pairing instantly, and the comfort was excellent for long sessions or gym use. Even today, in pure listening enjoyment, they still hold up. The Liberty 4 NC, on the other hand, clearly win in terms of features. The case is excellent with its satisfying magnetic click, the indicator lights are helpful, the design feels modern, and the adaptive noise cancelling is genuinely impressive. The ANC cuts out wind, traffic and general background noise very effectively. Add to that wireless charging, longer battery life, multipoint connection and the Soundcore app it’s a much more advanced and convenient product overall. Comfort is good too; they sit well in the ear for me. However, sound quality is ultimately my priority, and this is where the Liberty 4 NC fall short. For a product praised so heavily by YouTubers, reviewers and influencers, the actual sound profile is nowhere near as impressive as the reputation suggests. A lot of that praise feels exaggerated. Anker offers EQ controls, hearing tests and presets, but none of it solves the core issue: the sound just isn’t consistently good. The bass can be boomy, the mids and highs can become muddy, the soundstage feels flat. I tried multiple EQ setups, including the calibration test, but nothing made them consistently satisfying. Every now and then they sound great but those moments are rare. At this price point I’m not expecting perfection, but I am expecting clean, balanced, enjoyable audio by default. And honestly, cheaper earbuds including budget models from brands like JLab in the £15–20 range can sound clearer and more natural than these in some cases. If someone doesn’t care much about sound quality or doesn’t notice audio differences, these earbuds will seem more than fine. But if you value good sound, you might feel underwhelmed.

Pixel Phone users, please read, especially Pixel 7 series and 7 Pro. These earbuds are fantastic, however I was experiencing fairly regular, brief 2 to 4 second disconnections. I returned two sets due to this. When purchasing a totally different brand and experiencing the same issues, I thought I’d investigate possible phones issues. Google didn’t show anything wrong with the Pixel series, so I decided to use the “search.brave.com” engine and that’s when I found the information, to totally change my experience to exceptional. No more disconnections and just pure fabulousness with Soundcore and have decided to share this with others who may be experiencing similar issues The Pixel 7 Pro experiences widespread Bluetooth audio issues, including audio crackling, random disconnections, and audio sync loss, primarily triggered by system updates like Android 14 and the Android 16 Beta. Users report that earbuds often stop playing audio or cut out shortly after the screen locks, even when the device remains connected. To enable developer options, use youtube and search, “enable developer option pixel android” Key Troubleshooting Fixes: (use settings search to easily find these options) • Disable Hardware Offload: Go to Developer Options > Networking/Bluetooth and toggle Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload to On; this is the most frequently cited fix for crackling and disconnection bugs. • Adjust AVRCP Version: In Developer Options, set Bluetooth AVRCP Version to 1.5 to improve stability with certain earbuds. • Clear Cache: Clear the cache for the Bluetooth Legacy App and Bluetooth App via Settings > Apps > Show System. • Disable LE Audio: Turn off Bluetooth LE Audio in Developer Options if your earbuds do not support it or if it causes instability. • Reset Settings: Perform a Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth in System > Reset Options if basic pairing fails. These issues are often attributed to software bugs in the Tensor chipset optimization or conflicts with third-party apps, requiring manual configuration changes in developer settings rather than a native system fix. After using the last option, “Reset Settings” my pixel watch also got disconnected. To reconnect without resetting and loosing all information, I did this: If the watch does not appear in the Pixel Watch app automatically, follow these steps to reset the connection without losing data on the watch: • On the Watch: Navigate to Settings > System > Transfer Watch. This option allows you to reconnect the watch to a different or previously reset phone. • On the Phone: Open the Pixel Watch app, tap the watch icon in the top left, and follow the on-screen instructions to pair.

After getting used to the sound in my quality (and reasonably expensive) PC headphones, I wanted something compact to take travelling that could do my favourite music justice and block out the noise when on a plane, in a busy train station, etc. I had a pair of budget earbuds whose sound quality was adequate but nothing to write home about, and a noise cancellation mode that was so ineffective I often had to physically check whether or not it was turned on. Not so with these. The noise cancellation is impressive; white-noise-like sounds like air conditioning, engine noise, rain on windows etc. vanish almost entirely, and intermittent mid-range sounds like people talking become muffled and indistinct like they're happening a few rooms away in a house with thick walls. The clarity of sound when playing music is great too; my music library has a fair range of genres and these earbuds seem to do well across the board in terms of clarity of reproduction. The companion app has a variety of EQ presets to choose from and a simple but serviceable custom EQ builder that lets you save multiple bespoke profiles. There's also the "HearID" feature which gets you to choose your favourite out of various music clips to determine what you like and build a custom EQ. I found this reasonable accurate but there's no way to test it on your own music until you've finished the process so I found a couple of tracks later that revealed something about the HearID profile that I didn't like - but, happily, you can go back in and edit your HearID curve to correct for this. I found the EQ settings to be very effective, which means the right EQ can make things sound fantastic, but also means a bad EQ setting can make things sound terrible - if you listen to a wide range of styles you may want to leave the EQ on flat, or else have a few presets and get used to swapping frequently. There's also the option for 3D surround sound mode, which does broaden the sound stage quite impressively but I found on certain things it can introduce audio artifacts - some vocals pick up a slight edge that makes them sound like someone singing through a tube - these are usually minor but sometimes annoying, but you don't lose much by disabling the 3D mode. When the noise cancellation is running you may notice a very slight white noise, but this is only really detectable when whatever you're listening to is very quiet or has periods of silence, and it's pretty faint. At the other end of the scale, these earbuds can get very loud for those who like it that way - but if you don't, the app has an adjustable volume limiter you can enable to keep it within your comfort levels. All in all, I was very impressed with their performance given the reasonable price point - my old "budget" earbuds were only 25% cheaper than these, and are completely blown away in comparison. A solid buy for anyone looking for quality sound and effective noise cancellation without breaking the bank - and worth noting they seem to be frequently discounted (they were down at £55 when I bought them) so keep an eye out for that.

Get the app, I’ll explain at the end. My first noise cancellation headphones and I’m happy to say they are affective. Really simple setup. Used straight away with the M size. With secure fit. Look and feel good quality and the case is very smart. *don’t think I’ve seen this mentioned but the open case also makes for a landscape phone stand, which is great for tv watching etc* Arrived charged and a week later I still haven’t needed to plug the case in. The touch control has many options and works well once you’re used to it. Sound quality is the reason I’d dock a star: this is personal, with me listening mainly to podcasts. I find the sound lacking some midrange clarity. It’s what you’re used to, I guess. The sound is absolutely fine and having listened to music to test, the bass is full and probably top end for the price. The Soundcore App takes things up a notch (I already had with a Bluetooth speaker) Not only does it link seamlessly but gives you sound and fit tests. However the live translation it offers is amazing. I tested it with a Spanish work colleague and it was perfect. Not only does it annotate the original but dynamically adjusts the translation to correct structure- then speaks it to you. Also it does this real time and listens to the speaker while taking in the translation delay. Very impressive. Tried with Spanish, Thai and Japanese. As a result, three people have bought these! Wish there was more EQ control for the sound but I can’t not give 5 stars.

Love, love, love these! My AirPods broke and, let’s be honest, who can afford to randomly replace a pair of AirPods these days? 😆 So I thought I’d give these a try, and in my opinion they’re even better. The noise cancellation is phenomenal. My partner literally has to wave at me from across the room because I can’t hear a thing with them in. Don’t worry though, my hearing is absolutely fine according to the hearing test these can do. 😂 The sound quality is incredible, and I love that it’s fully customisable. The case is absolutely beautiful too. 😻 I also have tiny ears and struggle to find earphones that actually stay in, but these fit perfectly. They even come with loads of different ear tip sizes, which is a huge bonus. I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. If I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hmm, I give it 3 stars because I have mixed feelings. I'm coming from Samsung Buds FE or Pro, and Bose QC20. I needed something for motorbiking, so: strong ANC + good helmet fit + decent battery life + not breaking the bank if lost. Unfortunately, it didn't fit the bill fully. Positives: value for money - high - definitely there is a lot of goodies for a very decent amount of money durability - I'd say the product feels good, perhaps not the highest quality, but it is definitely a good quality build, compared to the mentioned earlier products, very equal. Didn't check waterproofness, but would expect some (IPx4 on the box) functionality and compatibility - high - no issues in this department, on the contrary, everything works as written on the tin. No connectivity issues. Especially happy with multipoint connection, way better than temperamental Samsung, plenty of configuration options very handsome battery life in my opinion (on stems) - and fast charging Sound-wise, I'm not entirely sure where to put them: I personally don't have anything against. They are very close to Samsung's Buds FE and Pro, Bose QC20 is incomparable because of its ANC, which is very special. I also use Sure Se215 on occasions. I'd say Anker's Soundcore wants to go towards that sound, so more clear-like and well articulated than bassy and muddy (which doesn't mean bass is not there - it is not that pronounced though). Negatives general: a bit fiddly touch zones on stems very mediocre ANC - no comparison to Bose at all, and (this is a bit subjective) Samsung seems to play a few percent better in this department as well (Buds Pro), there is quite a leak of the environment through the tips the ambient mode is a bit weird - I never know how is it different to no-processing at all - it is using some kind of adaptative algorithm, but it doesn't seem to agee with me too good no memory foam tips - the tips which come with the earplugs are the biggest problem in my opinion: they are these thin, rubbery, flimsy tips, which come in many sizes, none of which actually really fit you. If they were just like the ones on Samsung's or Sure... extremally annoying ads when accessing Android widget - seriously, Anker, when accessing the widget!??? And motorbiking-specific negatives: ANC - definitely no-no for motorbiking (small speeds - tolerable, motorway speeds - out of question), regardless of the mode of operation (including special wind reduction mode) tips too flimsy - when under the helmet, the stems seem to be ignoring the tips and touch the ear, which in turn conducts the wind noise through bones - I hate this effect, but I guess it is going to be very personal (I wear rather snug helmets) - neither Samsung or Bose, are experiencing these effects at all in my case though the stems themselves - very fiddly under the helmet, capable of easily repositioning under vibration, opening the ear to the noise. Also, they require multiple attempts to put the helmet on without repositioning (despite using modular helmets), and always fall off when taking the helmet off (which results in crawling the tarmac in search). But I guess this is also personal, as there are other stem-like designs on the market which actually work with me. So, my verdict: for moderate travel, walking, office use - highly recommended as they exhibit decent quality, plenty of goodies for a really good price. But not for extremes of any kind, especially if you are after a very high level of ANC.

I decided to buy these True Wireless earbuds as a replacement to my Airpods Pro that I accidentally left my in my home country before flying back to North America. I absolutely love ANKER products, but coming from an Airpods Pro, I didn't expect much from this product when I first bought it. so my review here will mostly be related to quality of life usage and not so much on the audio aspect Battery Life: Absolutely fantastic, over 4-5 hours of straight use before you get that beeping low battery that indicates you only have 15-20 minutes left. Then you would only have to recharge them in a case for 15-20 minutes before you can use them again for another 1-2 hours. so the claim they're making on this product is very legit Charging case: I've never fully drained the battery of the charging case as I consistently charge them every night but it doesn't take that long to fully charge the case either. maybe 1-2 hours max? Case durability: i've dropped these bad boys a couple times before on multiple hard surfaces over the last 7 months and they seem to be holding up really well with no scratches or permanent damage Case size: coming from an airpods pro, these look significantly bulkier (1.5 times bigger) but rest assured they are still very pocketable. Touch control: the touch control on this thing is easy to use, very easy to get used to and very reliable even when you have wet hands. the tap and/or hold function on these earbuds can be tweaked on the app settings. Eartips/Earbuds: the one thing i dont like about this product is the provided eartips adhesiveness to the earbuds. for reference, i use the smallest eartip in the box. they are standard eartips but they do get easily detached from the earbuds and sometimes they stick in your ears when you try to remove your earbuds. please keep in mind that i come from airpods pro where the eartips suction to the earbuds are very top notch when installed and is almost impossible to be accidentally detached from the earbud. Noise canceling: let's just say that if an Airpods Pro cancel out 99% of the noise from a very chatty and loud environment (like a gym during peak hours), then this product cancels out maybe 94-95%. it works really well to block out most of the noise in a loud environment, but you can still hear minor inaudible noise in the background whereas the sony WF1000XM5 or Airpods Pro completely shuts out the noise. Ambient sound: this works pretty well most of the time for a $129 headphones for you to activate to speak to someone without taking off your earbuds. Media/Audio pause when removing earbuds: this earbud has the same feature as most high end earbuds where if you remove one earbuds while watching or listening to something, it will automatically pause the media currently being playing before hit play again on the other earbuds. however, they are not as efficient as high end Sony or Apple NC earbuds. what I mean by this is that an Airpods Pro would immediately detect that you've removed one earbud and would automatically pause the media, where as the Anker Liberty 4 NC would have a 3-4 second latency delay before it notices that you've removed one earbud.still an amazing feature for the price tag. waterproof: I tried once or twice to shower with these on just to see if they would hold up and they did really well with no issue whatsoever. but i don't recommend not to shower with these on all the time. your disgusting ears also needs to be cleaned on a daily basis Audio Quality: I am just a regular peasant who enjoys listening to audiobook and music while working out, I am not going to pretend here to tell you the mids are good, the low and highs are good when i dont even know what that all really means in the first place. all i know is that the bass is decent and i've never had to complain about song i've listened to not being punchy enough because of these earbuds. you will never have that problem as long as you're not audiophile (most of us aren't) Sound Core app: i dont know how to use an equalizer but the presets they have is good enough for me to tune up my earbuds based on what i'm currently listening to Overall: giving this product an absolute 5 stars for the Price/Value for money. definitely get it if you're looking a for an affordable noise canceling earbuds. if anything, ANKER also has 18 months of warranty
