Reliable, Comfortable, and Worth Every Penny
I recently purchased the Logitech K4850 wireless keyboard, and Iโm honestly impressed. It exceeded my expectations right from the start. I ordered it last night and it arrived just about 15 minutes ago in perfect condition, which was already a great first impression. The keyboard itself feels solid, responsive, and well-built. The keys have a comfortable, smooth typing experience that makes it easy to work for extended periods without fatigue. Setup was quick and simple, and the wireless connection has been reliable with no lag or interruptions so far. It actually offers more features than I initially needed, but at this price point, I couldnโt pass it up. Iโve trusted Logitech products for over 25 years, ever since I bought my first computer, and theyโve consistently delivered quality. This keyboard is no exception. If youโre looking for a dependable, well-designed wireless keyboard at a great value, I highly recommend this one. However with all of that there is only one little thing that I didn't notice before I purchased it. When I looked for a keyboard I assumed that the ones I was seeing were ALL rechargeable, but I didn't realize until 5 minutes ago that it is not. Five stars from me.

LOGITECH - Quality and Reliability are still KEY (pun intended)!
Several years ago I bought a Bluetooth keyboard for use with one of my electronic devices and the stupid thing stuttered. Every time I typed a key it would show it twice. I searched and searched online for a fix for this and was unable to find one. In the past, I've purchased computer mice and keyboards from other big name companies and almost every time there has been some sort of hassle: you don't have the right driver, it's not compatible with your device, you need to install this invasive software, etc. So it was with some trepidation that I decided to purchase this keyboard. The KEY (pun intended) deciding factor was the brand name LOGITECH! Although I've only purchased 3 or 4 different devices from LOGITECH, without fail, they have been plug in, turn on, work! I have NEVER had a problem with a LOGITECH device, PERIOD! It has been several years since I've purchased from them and it seems that their insistence on QUALITY and RELIABILITY has not wavered. Okay, so the Logitech Bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard K480. Just buy one! It is a substantial keyboard, meaning that it has some heft to it and it's solidly built. It's size is 11 1/2" wide X 7 1/2" long X just over 1/2" thick. If it's not regulation keyboard size it's pretty damn close. I was able to touch type on it immediately without having to adjust how I type. As usual, LOGITECH, realizing that people today have more than one device has made this keyboard switchable to three different devices. I recently purchased a new tablet and wanted to use the old one with this keyboard as a "typewriter" that I could easily take to work. I HATE onscreen keyboards because I'm a touch typist and I can type much faster on a keyboard than any teenage girl can thumb-type on her cell phone! So the first job was to pair the keyboard with my old tablet...took less than five minutes and that includes the time I took to go to the LOGITECH site and read through their documentation. WORKED PERFECTLY! Absolutely no delay in keyboard to tablet. It was as though I was typing on a typewriter! This morning I thought I might have a need to use the keyboard with my new tablet, so I turned the selector to "2" and paired my new tablet as well. WORKED PERFECTLY! Then I thought, "oh yeah, one of the reasons I'd started looking for a Bluetooth keyboard, that I'd since forgotten (duh!) was that I'd recently purchased a Fire stick and HATED their onscreen keyboard (no surprise there!). So I took the keyboard into the living room and sat on the couch and turned the selector to "3" and paired it with my Fire TV. WORKED PERFECTLY! I shouldn't really be surprised as LOGITECH has a perfect track record with me. I guess they take the extra time to make sure that their devices work as they are designed to do and work out any bugs before they release them to the marketplace, unlike many other companies. Since I'm using this keyboard on Android type devices I really don't have a lot of use for a lot of the computer type keys, but I'm sure that some others out there will make use of them and critique them for you. The fact that this keyboard can be used with three different devices with the turn of a dial and that it can be used with Windows/Apple/Android devices makes it one of the most flexible on the market and the LOGITECH brand name ensures that it is a QUALITY product, which my experience has proven has not faltered. I don't usually spend this much time on reviews. Amazon nags me about reviews of items that I've purchased and I will usually type one or two lines just to get them to SHUT UP! But this keyboard reminded me how reliable and serious LOGITECH is about providing electronic devices that do what they are supposed to do and prompted me to make sure that I wrote a review that I hope will encourage you to buy one! Because of another review I also purchased a carry case for it at the same time and I am rather pleased with it. It's great because the mesh area that they show with a cable in it is big enough for me to put my old tablet in and so I have one case with the keyboard and tablet. So it's my own version of an old fashioned typewriter case! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0762H2SZ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Faulty product but other issues too
UPDATE: After realizing I had a defective unit and was outside of the amazon return period - I submitted a support request with Logitech and I was helped very quickly and courteously by customer support. I was dreading the interaction with Logitech (for no reason, just that I have typically found dealing with manufacturers to be more difficult than say, Amazon). My dread was completely unfounded and I'm happy to say Logitech sent me a replacement keyboard that has resolved most of my complaints in my original review. Keyboard switching WORKS! I can switch between a windows computer and an iOS device seamlessly without any extra key-presses. The power switch works as well. I cannot comment on battery life yet as I only just received my replacement unit. I'm updating 1 star to 4 stars but leaving my original review below. ORIGINAL: I have a defective unit and missed the return window by a day. I'll try to get a warranty replacement through logitech but be warned that this review is biased. Persistent problems: - Key presses will stick and I'll have to turn the device on and off and re-connect and hope that the 'a' key is no longer on repeat. - Switching doesn't automatically connect to a device (this could be the devices problem or my defective unit, I don't know). If I switch from position 1 to 3, I would expect it to automatically connect to my computer (or phone), instead I have to press the bluetooth connect button once. Sometimes it connects and sometimes it does nothing and I have to just kind of wait as there is no obvious feedback of connection or not. I think blinking blue light is attempting to connect and solid blue light is connected? but that's not always accurate on my device. Never auto connects to my iOS devices - I have to go to the settings and pair, every time. This could be an iOS problem though, I never have consistent luck with bluetooth devices and iOS. - Biggest faulty issue is my power switch doesn't work. I thought it was working fine until I realized one day when I faced a stuck key problem that when I looked at the powerkey, it was off, yet I was connected to a device. I then pressed the connect button and it tried to connect - while off. So basically, I can't turn my device off, which may lead to the next issue I have. Also, toggling the power button triggers a reconnect - so the power button does SOMETHING, but I have no idea what. - Batteries are dead after about 4 weeks of very intermittent use. I'm only in my home office for 1 day a week, so this keyboard got a maximum of 8 days worth of typing over the course of a month (being very generous with the amount of usage, it's probably closer to 5 days of use). Four weeks is a terrible battery life but maybe mine is defective. I use other logitech products which last much longer under much heavier use. Pros: - Solid construction. - Keyboard types nicely. I thought the key presses would be worse or more difficult because they look kind of odd in the photos but it's easy and comfortable to type on.

Itโs nice
I bought this as a gift for someone that did away with their computer and only has an iPad an iPhone now. I didnโt buy the Magic Keyboard because she already had a cover she was happy with and that would have just been overkill. I did have to help her set this up, so I connected it to her cell phone and iPad, showed her how to switch between devices, and it switches flawlessly. Setting this up was a breeze and super easy. I think there were 3 steps and they had the instructions printed on a sticker right on the keyboard. My thought on the size is that it is a bit on the bulky side in terms of thickness, but thatโs easily solved with some type of laptop case or a backpack that has the separate pockets to carry an iPad and the keyboard. The length and width is fine, and it is more compact than a standard keyboard without the number keypad. It does seem to be durable and built well like it will last for some time without intentional abuse. I did find that her iPad didnโt really sit in the tray nicely because of her case, but the phone with a thinner case did kind of fit. So, if you keep a case on your device, you might need to just use the stand on your case, or buy a separate stand instead of trying to fit your device with a case in the little tray to hold your device. Or, just take the case off. I didnโt test this with Android or Microsoft products because we only have Apple iOS devices. So, I canโt speak to pairing with those devices. For typing, there were no problems and I didnโt notice much of a delay after setting it up and testing the typing out. This is just so you can decide if this is right for you. I did find that resting my wrists in the table and typing is a bit uncomfortable for me, so you might want to consider getting something like a wrist rest. The keys are raised nicely so you can type very easily, but it is noisy, just like a standard keyboard for your computer. So, depending on how fast you type, it could sound like Morse Code. This is not a chicklet-style keyboard, so the noise is to be expected. For what this is, the person I bought this for and their needs, this is a great purchase. They primarily use it at home or on vacations, so they arenโt going to coffee shops, parks, libraries, or other random places with it much, so itโs perfect. I think itโs a great value, especially for older folks as the person I bought this for is in their 70โs. I would recommend this product for anyone that wants more of a standard style keyboard instead of something like the Apple or Logitech cases that use the chicklet-style keys. If youโre on the go a lot with your tablet, then you might want to consider a case with an attached keyboard instead. One other plus for me, and depending on your needs may not be a plus, is that it uses regular batteries. So, when it runs low, you can just replace the batteries and keep on going, you donโt have to wait for it to charge up. Iโm sure you could just buy the some AA rechargeable batteries if you do want the recharge life. Itโs just nice to know that you wonโt have any downtime with it, which tends to happen when you need to use it most. I also found the door to access the batteries easy to open and close, as well as being in a good spot for easy access.

Well constructed keyboard that easily switches between devices
My iMac keyboard gave up the ghost about 6 months ago after many years of service. Soon after, my employer switched us to working from home, so I now had my iMac, my work laptop, and two monitors on my desk, and I decided to get a compatible keyboard with both my iMac and windows-based work laptop. That item (not the logitech) was horrible. As my employer is now telling the workforce that we'll be at home until the end of January 2021, I decided it was time to replicate my work desk setup and get a keyboard that didn't frustrate me. As I've been using a Logitech track pad with the iMac and love that, the Logitech products were given a thorough examination. While I wanted a full-sized keyboard with a number keypad, I was willing to skip that (I can drag out the crappy keyboard if I need to type in a lot of numbers). The many positive comments about this keyboard and ability to pair with 3 devices and easily switch between them was the feature that got me to choose it, and I'm glad it did. The keyboard itself is compact, but the keys are a standard size. The orientation of keys differs from my full size keyboards and the laptop's compact layout. However, it only took a couple of days to become comfortable with this design, and I've even been able to use the arrow keys without having to look down at the keyboard to locate them. YMMV, but it isn't a far reach, and the angle of these keys makes it easy to identify up, down, left and right. Even better, the keyboard I replaced was produced by a company that specializes in Mac accessories, yet, none of the Mac function keys worked as expected with it. The Logitech handles most of these with ease. While I can't toggle with F3 on the Mac, it does Command-Shift-Tab just fine, as well as screen grabs with Cmd-Shift-3 and Cmd-Shift-4. I haven't played enough with the rest of the Mac functions, but those are my go-to buttons in my line of work, so it is nice to see that I don't lose Mac functions on a dual compatible device. The bluetooth pairing was extremely easy, taking less than 2 minutes on both the Windows based laptop and the iMac, and now, it's a simple turn of the knob. I haven't decided which device to pair into that third slot, but it may be my phone to save me from fat fingering texts when it spends most of the time sitting on my desk. It takes less than 5 seconds to be recognized by the selected device - I just need to remember that I've switched devices. When I bought this keyboard, I hadn't realized that it was truly designed to be used with iPads and other tablet devices. The channel in the top of the keyboard holds an iPad securely, though it usually has my phone or a pen lately. If your intent is for use with a tablet, it will hold it at a slight angle out, maybe 10 degrees. Overall, I'm glad I didn't take the low price to mean that this wouldn't be a worthy contender for use with both Windows and Mac computers. It'd still be a great value at double the price, as it does the job well . This may not matter to you, but it replaced a keyboard that was rather flimsy and this is solid. There's a heavy battery inside, and it looks like it will withstand being dropped. The thickness of the body means that it doesn't need legs to prop it up, a design feature that pleases me. To be honest, I was prepared to spend $100 to get a keyboard that satisfied my need to use one keyboard for both of the computers on my desk.

Nice if all the functions would work
First, I really like this keyboard for the price. Some reviews say itโs too heavy, but I like the weight, it feels stable. Like that it uses batteries, feel is good, integration with my devices is seamless. There is no โreturnโ key, but after a quick Google search, I found that you can start a new paragraph in Messenger by hitting SHIFT + ENTER. BUT โฆ The easy switch button on my keyboard only works on the first channel. While itโs dialed to โ1โ, I can easily connect to either my iPhone or iPad. Switched to โ2โ or โ3โ, it is unable to detect either device. Iโve tried turning Bluetooth on and off, turning the keyboard on and off, nothing works. I believe the switch is defective. Hereโs was is really annoying me: Iโd like to just have Amazon replace the keyboard, but, no. I have to contact the manufacturer for help, which I have tried to do, but end up sitting on hold. This is very annoying since Iโm sure they arenโt going to be able to troubleshoot the problem by phone. Iโll keep trying to call. My only other option is, apparently, only using channel 1 and reconnecting devices when I want to swap. Slightly annoying, but it is only a $33 keyboard.

As far as Bluetooth keyboards go, it's definitely the one to get.
I got this for my wife for a gift and she has been going crazy-go-nuts over how much she loves it for several days. I'll give a quick break down for people who are shopping. Pros: 1. It works with anything that has Bluetooth, and VERY easily. We hooked up an iPad mini, and two cell phones (both android) in less than 3 minutes. It's that easy. Just activate your Bluetooth on your device, search for devices, select the K480, type the verification code in on the keyboard, and you're up. 2. It actually works as simply as it sounds. In all the devices we hooked up, we just turn the 3 way toggle and it automatically switches to that device, takes away the "on device" keyboard, and you start typing on that device. You can switch between devices on the fly, which takes like 1-2 seconds. My wife has her iPad mini and her phone in the cradle and is online and texting her mother simultaneously, just switching back and forth between devices with 1 flip of a switch. It's absurdly easy and she loves it with bells on. Bells on? No. More like a whole hand bell choir, playing Beethoven while she sips tea with Emily Gaskell and Jane Austin in a gazebo in 1850's Brittan. Okay...maybe not that much. 3. It's solid and doesn't feel like it's plastic. It's not too heavy per say, but solid. 4. It has a clever sticker along the top that has full instructions to set things up and connect devices. As a guy, I love that she got to feel all "techie" by doing stuff without asking me for help. I love helping her, but figuring out technology on her own makes here feel somehow like a part of the CIA. 5. It's a laptop sized keyboard. I'm writing this on my Asus laptop and the key spacing is identical to my laptop. The keys themselves are a little smaller with a little more space in between then, but if you can type on a laptop you can type on this. No cramped fingers and no hitting 2 keys with one finger. 6. It has multiple multifunction keys that are pre-programmed (like a "home" key, a "back" key, etc.). She's figured out a bunch of cool shortcuts and has love learning to utilize this thing to actually make her more efficient and productive in the hour she has at the end of the night to get all the e-mail/web surfing time in. 7. It's nicely thought out. There aren't any unnecessary gadgets or needless buttons on this (though that's pure opinion). 8. It's Logitech. They just make decent stuff and they're a brand name that has some credibility, being around the business for decades and decades. I still use 2 Logitech mice that are a decade old. They're not a perfect company, but I have honestly never had serious problems with Logitech. 9. It shipped with batteries, included and ready to go. You just pull out the tab and you're on. Cons: 1. It was more costly than the alternatives. We got it on sale for $40, and that might seem high for a Bluetooth keyboard. There are other brands online for $15 or less. Then again, half those $15 options all look the same because they're all made in the same sweatshop in China and re-branded by a company that won't be around in 2 years once the money gets laundered. Now it's true that Logitech's stuff is all made in Chinese sweatshop too, but Logitech has a long-standing name. Still, it probably doesn't need to cost $40. It is definitely more solid and respectable a product than the $15 knock-off stuff, so I paid the fee and don't regret it. As consumers, we're likely getting skinned because of the name "Logitech"...but if we wanted a quality "made in America" product that was produced in a factory where the workers made an actually livable wage, it would cost $140. What can you do? 2. They keys make noise. Some folks have complained that the keys are loud, and they're about as loud as any regular laptop keyboard. I don't see that as a con, but if you're expecting it to be as quite as the touch pad on you phone, it won't be. If you plan to use this to send text messages in church, you'll get discovered pretty quick. Then again, if you're taking an external Bluetooth keyboard to church because you plan on texting that much, you have some serious problems. So, for $40 I made my wife significantly happier for several days. That alone is worth the money for me.

Good travel keyboard for the price
The keyboard is a really decent quality. All of the buttons work and I've not really had an issue with any registry. I like that you can switch between devices with the radial dial. The only issue I really have is that the buttons are kind of hard to push. It almost feels like there is a stickiness inside that makes it difficult to click. That's really the only complaint that I have. All around good keyboard. There is no lighting, and it's just black with green as pictured. It feels very well built though. If you travel a lot, this is the keyboard for you

Still amazing after 3 years!
Bought this keyboard over 3 years ago and it's still going strong! This product is such an amazing keyboard! The keys are incredibly responsive, the battery life is really great (I only have to replace the 2 AAA batteries once every year), it travels very well (I've taken it on countless trips), it works with every device I have tried it with (works flawlessly on Linux.) Being an avid programmer and power user, I love the fact that this product has separate tilde and escape keys like a proper keyboard. I have probably written well over a million lines of code on this keyboard since the day it arrived and it still works like brand new! Fabulous product and this is easily one of my best Amazon purchases.

Great for home office use and working from home.
Got this as a replacement of Logitech MK240 keyboard. The keyboard is heavy and feels solid, you do feel the quality of the product. Paired it with my PC and Note 10, the switch between bluetooth wireless is seamless. I could immediately do typing just about 1 second after the switch between devices. Keyboard key feedback are not really quiet, could produce a little noise when you type faster (when comparing to MK240). Some may like the feedback, but it is not to my liking (a personal choice). Will keep it however, it is still worth the purchase. Hopefully with longer use and wear-in, it would be smoother.

Easy to use
Kids love it for school. Bought with carry case so perfect companion. Would be better if battery was rechargeable.
