- Heritage Hill 1/2 Gallon Glass Jar with Lid, Set of 2

Love the wide mouth. I can finally fit a measuring cup inside! I switched to these jars because my old flour and sugar containers had openings that were too small to easily fit a measuring cup inside. That was always frustrating, so the wide-mouth design on these is probably my favorite feature! I can easily scoop out exactly what I need without making a mess. They’re also very easy to fill and clean. The wide opening makes it easy to get your hand inside when washing them, and the clear glass lets you see exactly how much you have left. I’m using mine for flour and sugar, but they would work well for plenty of other dry goods, snacks, candy, coffee pods, etc. One thing to know about the lid: it is not airtight or leak-proof. The glass lid simply rests on top. It has a nice, secure-feeling fit and sits well on the jar, but there is no gasket or locking mechanism creating an actual seal. That’s completely fine for how I’m using them, but I wouldn’t choose these for anything that specifically needs an airtight or leak-proof container. I’m not labeling mine since the clear glass makes it obvious what’s inside, so I can’t really speak to how well labels adhere or remove. Overall, these are simple, attractive, functional storage jars. For me, the wide opening alone makes them a huge improvement over my previous containers!

I’m in love with this jar! It’s big, heavy and beautiful! I recently started making my own laundry detergent and I wanted a jar that was big and durable enough to hold it. This glass jar is absolutely perfect for it. I have roughly 15 pounds of detergent being stored in it. The jar came in packaged very tightly secured in plastic to prevent it breaking in the box during shipping. I plan on expanding my collection of jar storage jars into my kitchen with my baking supplies soon. This jar was around $30 and if it lasts forever, it was definitely worth the purchase.

These items arrived exactly as described. They look good and they are a good value. I only wish that they had a seal with the lid, but I couldn't find that option in this size. Overall good quality and I would buy these again.

These were perfect for what I needed. I'm happy with my decision to go with clear glass, which is beautifully made and has a classy, nostalgic look. I used mine for our dog snacks, which has transformed our coffee/drink counter into a little dog snack bar. I love that I can see inside the jars, how the glass catches the light, and that you can still see the backsplash through them. They don't make the counters look cluttered or crowded. A gasket would be nice, but I knew these didn't have one when I made my decision, so that wasn't a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I'm very happy with these canisters and would absolutely buy them again!

Received these and they are a good size but the covers do not have a suction to it. They just go on top of the bottom which doesn't make it sealed. Not sure if I will keep it. I wanted to put rice and grains in it so it needs a sealed top.

These are absolutely beautiful and holds 5lbs of flour or sugar no problem! Great for my new bread baking adventures! Wide mouth for easy shopping access. The lid is glass and no seal but works exactly for what I need. Great buy and we'll packaged for shipping.
