Broken Angel is the first book in the Umarova crime Family series. It gives this series a phenomenal start. It is definitely a dark romance, but it is all good, as the Umarova family characters are wonderfully charming, believable, and hardcore. Amelia and Emily are just as believable, relatable, and innocent until they meet the Umarova brothers.With much intense mafia-style action, high drama, suspense, thrills, steamy romance, and more, Broken Angel is a page-turner that I read instead quickly. Now that Ruslan and Amelia have their happily ever after, I can hardly wait to see what happens with Zom and Emily in the next book.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

These two ladies have done an phenomenal job they had me hooked immediately after reading the prologue. I kept saying to myself that I would read just one more chapter then I'm putting it down needless to say hours later I had finished it then jumped directly into the second book.

This book was interesting because it started after the two main characters had already fallen for each other and were in a slightly new relationship but with external plot things making them be apart. It was easy to read and interesting enough but i had trouble getting invested in the plot and the characters because the first few pages were just pining after each other and separate plot lines, then when they finally reunited, it felt like insta-love because we didn't get to read about them falling for each other. All in all, I'd say it's a light read that can be entertaining enough but nothing too deep or steamy, although it does have some spicy scenes.Amelia hasn't had the best luck with guys until she met raslan. She's sure he's different so when he disappears for weeks when he told her he would only be gone for a few days, she knows something happened to him. I'm like how fast things moved and tht the story was not drag for to long and was interesting the whole time

This is the first book in this series, Ruslan is taken and held until he is rescued by his family. However the relationship between him and Amelia is interested. Ruslan and Amelia have an intense relationship at first. I love how these two develop. Story is well written very intense. It has drama, action, adventure. A great mafia story.

He has been captured and held but once he escapes it all happens. Action and adventure and some sizzle. Well written and addictive
