Bodymould Memory Foam Mattress Topper, 2 Inch, UK Single

I ordered a king size 2 inch topper after sleeping at a friend's house who used a 1 inch one and discovering how much comfier her bed was than my springy mattress. Even though my bed is a double, the king was actually cheaper at the time of ordering and I figured I can easily cut the foam down to size so ordered one without a cover.The product that arrived came in a neat black bag and was very different to the packaging shown in the photo. It actually says 'Dr Twiner Medica Memory Foam 2" Topper' on the packaging and has no mention of Bodymould. It also claims to be a super king size but I have measured it manually and it is just a tiny bit larger than a king. Importantly, however, it came with a removable cover - which I did not order and definitely didn't pay extra for - so I am very pleased with that. It does mean that I won't cut it down to double size but have it hanging over the sides of the bed by a couple inches instead.Anyone who's slept on memory foam knows what it feels like. I would say that this seems a little firmer than I expected but still has the memory foam feel, maybe not quite as comfortable as I hoped for but still very good. At 2" thick I can't feel the mattress at all underneath, I was going to go for 3" but now see that would have been pointless (perhaps if I weighed more it might make a difference). I would argue that from my experience a good mattress and 1" of foam on top is a better choice than a bad mattress and 2" of foam, but it's all down to preference.I don't find there to be any ungodly chemical smell as others have stated (it just smells like industrial foam to me), perhaps the cover helps protect against it. For the price paid I am very happy although as stated it's not quite the comfiest memory foam topper I've tried - if this had cost the same price as some of the more expensive/premium toppers I would honestly be disappointed. Although I have deducted a star for receiving a slightly different product to that described, the fact that it came in a handy bag with a free cover was very fortunate.

Can't imagine how they get away with calling it memory foam. It's just foam. What you might make a padded seat out of. Worth a couple of quid. Does not contour your back like Memory Foam. I would sent it back, but my dad cut it to shape before we tried it out. Hugely disappointing.

Very disappointed with this mattress topper. It feels like normal foam rather than memory foam as stated. I bought the small double size and sadly its 3 inches too short on the width. The middle of the product (that was in the middle of the roll when folded up in its delivery box is discoloured and has a chemical odour. I'm sad that I left it in its box whilst I finished the room as it may be difficult to return. :-(

Its comes very much vacuum packed and in a cardboard box. And even though it states on the box and other reviewers have stated the size and shape wont be what you expect at first, I was disappointed... but give it time. It was way too narrow and yes the edges looked badly cut, however I left it for a few days and now its perfect. Really makes the sofa bed more comfy and doesn't move too much. It might not be the best memory foam you can buy, others do seem a lot more expensive and I'm not a foam expert but Id definitely say this wasn't just normal foam but memory foam. Great buy.

Let's start with a negative: it's not 4ft. Whilst this doesn't particularly bother me, you should make it clear that the width is inaccurate. The smell is quite harsh but a day later it was completely gone. On the plus side, the first night's sleep left me pleasantly surprised by the comfort level. It is only foam - despite what they say - so don't expect the same results as a costly and proper memory foam mattress. However, for the decent price, I think it's worth buying.

It's never going to be as good as a memory foam mattress but it comes close.My daughter says it's made her bed even more comfortable and stops her getting so sweaty. It fits the bed size we ordered it for and stays in place.My only gripe is that it absolutely stinks. We had to put it outside for a day then hung over the banister for another just to reduce it to a bearable smell.

I bought this as a gift for my mother. It arrived rolled up in a large box. It fitted her bed well and she is sleeping better because of it. She felt she needed a new mattress but didn’t want the expense of it, this has saved that expense and she can have a good nights sleep again.

Made my 7 year old's firm and uncomfortable mattress very soft and comfy. Feels like a different bed, she's very happy with it. It had the usual terrible smell of memory foam, which has luckily now disappeared, but it took a while. We put it on the bed right after opening it, but probably should have aired it out for a few days first.She's been using it for about 6 weeks now and it hasn't dipped in yet anywhere, it's maintained its shape well but she is very light. I'd like one for my bed next! Great value for money and fits well on a standard single mattress.
