Now that I have this on my camera I am not taking it off. Firstly the build quality is amazing. The cage gives the camera a much more PREMIUM feel and it is significantly more solid in my opinion. In addition the added grip that the cage has makes the camera feel a lot more secure to hold and handle and is a massive bonus for me. It has several mounting options all around the cage and 1/4"-20 threaded holes as well as 3/8" for Arri - located at the top and the right side of the cage as well as two hotshoe attachments. Plenty enough for me to rig this for extra utility. It contains a helpful tool underneath the cage which is magnetic and can be used to tighten and release the camera from the cage. Oh and did I mention the tillable screen is not obstructed at all by the cage which is a bonus! Very happy with the camera cage. It will certainly be staying on my camera indefinitely from now on.

Excellent product. I especially like the silicone grip, which helps a lot while I am using a 24-70 lens.

Great product, fits like a glove. Cage arrived without the HDMI clamp, so I informed SmallRig who immediately got back to me and in fact have already shipped the clamp which I received today a few days later. I cannot praise smallrig enough, and have several of their products which are all of a high quality.

Very good cage for the ZV-E1, especially the hand grip makes the camera more ergonomic, the only small grip I have is the cage blocks my old yougnuo trigger (looks like I have to upgrade)

The Smallrig cage kit is a great addition to your Sone camera. It's easy to mount, with nice easy to grip mounting screws. The frame gives a very secure hold of the camera with the three point locking system and it gives complete confidence for hardnesses, straps and tripod mounting. The best part is the frame has been specially designed by Smallrig meaning that all buttons and features are still accessible and all compartments can still open. The only thing that is slightly restricts is the screen from fully opening, but to be honest I never need it fully opened anyway. Price point is high, but it's for a very well designed and crafted piece of kit and considering the cost of the camera and lenses, I don't mind paying this price to ensure the camera itself is safe and secure.

A simple and affordable solution. I like the all-in-one full cage design because it protects the camera as well. Easily secures with one screw and 2 side adapters. Takes only a few seconds to install. There is an HDMI cable clamp which protects the port and the handle is comfortable and non-slip to hold. Ther is also a quick-release plate if you are using a tripod. It fits perfectly around the camera buttons, card slots, battery compartments, and flip screen. Light weight and well made. Very happy.

Excellent quality and it pains me to return it, but I intended to use this with the DJI adapter and Mic 2, with a light on the other shoe space. Sadly, the cage pushes the DJI adapter out by 2mm and thus won't connect. I spent hours trying to figure out why it wasn't working and thought the DJI adapter/mic was faulty - but then realised it was the cage.

Ottima costruzione. Include supporto per il cavo micro usb, utilissimo quando si connette la macchina ad un monitor esterno. Ergonomia migliorata grazie all'estensione dell'impugnatura.

Sony Ev-Z1 is a great camera; yet the design for hand grip is a little bit small; this rig help it with a bigger grip; now I can have a good hold to the grip; make me feel more stable hold of the camera

Great camera cage! Easy to assemble and attach to the camera. Adds a nice weight to the camera which feels better since the body is so light. You can access all the ports, card slots and battery slot while in use. The silicone grip makes the camera easier to hold for people who have larger hands! Very pleased with the product!

Ich habe mir das SMALLRIG ZV-E1 Cage Kit gekauft, da ich meine Sony ZV-E1 für Videoaufnahmen mit Monitoren und Griffen erweitern wollte. Und ich muss sagen: Der Käfig ist hervorragend verarbeitet, bietet viele Montagemöglichkeiten und liegt dank des Silikongriffs super in der Hand. Verarbeitung & Passform Der Cage passt perfekt auf die ZV-E1 – alles sitzt fest und sicher, ohne die Kamera unnötig zu vergrößern. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, das Aluminium fühlt sich robust an, und das Gewicht ist angenehm leicht. Der Silikongriff an der rechten Seite ist ein großes Plus, da er den Halt deutlich verbessert, besonders bei längeren Drehs. Montagemöglichkeiten & Zubehör Es gibt genug 1/4"- und 3/8"-Gewinde sowie eine NATO-Schiene, um Zubehör wie Griffe, Mikrofone oder Monitore zu befestigen. Die HDMI-Kabelklemme ist ein kleines, aber sehr nützliches Detail – sie schützt den Anschluss zuverlässig und verhindert Wackelkontakte, was gerade bei externen Monitoren oder Recordern wichtig ist.
