Rust-Oleum Beige Washable Matt Floor Tile Paint - Butterscotch 2.5L

This paint is extremely good and gave excellent coverage on my bathroom tiles. A little goes a long way. I was able to give my tiles 3 coats. It’s been almost a year since I used this product and it looks as good as new.

I bought a can of Hessian colour. The colour is more or a cold beige lilac colour rather than what is presented. We didn't want to replace our tiled floor so I thought this paint was just perfect for our purporses. Pros: + 1 can covered A LOT ( kitchen, sitting area and a laundry area)+ 3 coats! + beautiful colour, light and makes room look spacious + you can mop it, I used steam cleaner and it worked + dries fast ( 1-2 hours in the summer in a well ventilated room) Cons: - expensive for the quality - it chips and scratches easily even with a vacuum cleaner - you really need to prepare the area or it won't stick properly and leave cracks - needs 3 coats + on dark blue tiles - not exactly the colour you expect - you have to use it within 3 days otherwise the paint goes flaky and you can just throw it away Addition: × It's matt and can be slippery

Great coverage but worth noting that once it’s made up it says to use within 5 days. It still felt liquid enough about 3-4 weeks later, though I never got around to doing the rest of the floor. I will have to purchase again and only mix it up when I know I have time to finish the project.

Good coverage

I received my floor tile paint. On the tin it said to use the activator "enclosed". I was a bit confused, there was definitely nothing else in the packaging. But I re-read the tin and it said 'enclosed'. I though perhaps there would be something within the tin. I've just come to do the job having some time off work and there is nothing enclosed with the paint. As it happened I had a small bottle of activator with some other rustoleum paint I had bought so I had to measure out the paint into a glass jar and and use that. I've looked to see if if can buy more activator separately but cant see if available for sale separately. So now I have about £50 worth of tile paint with no activator. Which is a massive waste. I'm a bit peeved. Perhaps I'm being stupid,the listing photos show a small bottle and the tin says activator enclosed. If I've misunderstood then I think it's a bit misleading/confusing. Make sure you receive the bottle of activator with the tin of paint. Paint colour 'Portland Stone ' is nice. I often use rustoleum, it's a good product, just a bit disappointing on this occasion, more to do with delivery service than the quality of the paint.
