Mil-TecMen's Swat Backpacking Boot

Bought these to replace my trespass snow boots and I’ve Got to say they look very nice and overall they are comfy, wide fitting and you can wear them out of the box.I will definitely get another pair as I find they are perfect for walking with my dog.You can wear them over or tucked in your trousers and they look good.I walk on very uneven ground even rubble andI find they are very comfy but you do need to remember these are designed for urban walking hence swat boots so don’t expect them to be very ridged and hard compound soles as they are not for mountain climbing.Laces are a little fiddly until you get used to them but besides that these are top end quality boot.

These are comfortable lightweight boots, they are possibly half a size large which is no bad thing, allowing for thick socks or an additional insole. They take a decent shine when polished. The ankle padding is substantial and supportive. The downside unfortunately is that the sole unit is rather poor, typical of cheaper moulded boots: it is thin despite having an aggressive tread pattern, even with an additional thick insole you can feel stones or debris through them. These boots would be good on jobs where you are standing most of the time, or walking on soft ground: they would be no good at all on rough ground, climbing or walking any distance other than on city streets. Also the sole unit is unprotected, so anything sharp would go straight through them. On the plus side, they are flexible enough to drive in, so no need to change when you get to a job. They suit the purpose I bought them for, security work in town, but you'd be wasting your money if you wanted boots for anything a bit rougher.

They are lovely and comfy

It’s a comfortable shoe and it looks great, but it didn’t last me as long as others I’ve had. until that, I was able to use them regularly for 5 months.

Very comfortable boot considering the price

Great if going on a leisurely hike or long patrols with little action, however I used these for a CQB airsoft match and after my first game the shoe laces began to erode. Of course it’s a lot of abuse and fast paced running and sliding, however if it’s “combat” boots they should be able to withstand this kind of action

Well worth the money, not had long enough to give 5 stars.
