After reading some conflicting reviews here on Amazon, I was a little unsure about purchasing but I am so very pleased that I did. I have since purchased a further two more!So, the Nova U..... the concert size, in my own opinion, is the better of the two sizes.The mini soprano is still a very good value for money uke; carbon-fibre material makes it durable, surprising bright sounding, sturdy, portable, looks good...The concert however, does have the advantage of a richer sound, but it’s bigger with a sound hole atop, so that’s to be expected.I bought ours in the green/blue colour and a black concert size. The colours are aesthetically pleasing, teamed with the gold accents of the tuning pegs and strap pegs make the Nova U stand out and also help them to look less ‘cheap’ and less like a toy, which can happen with the colour-finish ukuleles.The concert size comes with a little accessory pack inclusive of matching coloured uke case, capo, strap and some spare Enya strings.Paperwork and certificates also included. I don’t believe these ukuleles are replicas.The concert size is perfect for both me and my child, who is 8.The mini soprano comes only in black and with the accessories comes a nifty and proficient digital tuner and battery (clip on)- which picks up only the sounds of the uke strings, so it’s all good to tune in a noisy room. No capo or strap with this sizeBoth sizes have a bowed back for a richer sound, the fretboard on both sizes have a few more accessible frets for finger-style than a standard wooden uke, due to the design of the Nova U.The strings sit pretty close to the fretboard which means playing chords and making them sound is very easy to achieve.For beginners and children, this is perfect- Instant results for minimum effort.Again, both these ukuleles have such a happy, bright sound and really do rival some other wooden ukuleles of the same value.Buy this concert uke and you won’t regret it.Now, there is the option for the electro-acoustic, which I cannot comment on as yet, but that will surely be my next Enya purchase.The only downside for me (and it’s not even a thing really) are the strings, but I’m not keen on Enya strings anyway - I find them a little ‘baggy’But it’s nothing, they can easily be replaced. On that subject, the strings are very easy to change on the Nova U, if you wanted to.Delivery was fast; two days and they were all here, safe and sound. I wanted to get a "proper" ukulele as the little cheap beginner one I was practicing on just wasn't fun to play - the action was so high in that first fret that i had to fight to press it down and could barely manage the chords. Once I switched to the Enya Nova I saw so much improvement (though I still can't get barre chords right!)This sounds great, holds its tune well, is a gorgeous colour which has withstood knocks and scrapes.Overall, this was well worth the money and is a great investment for beginners.

Unboxing this ukulele is like having a new iPhone. It’s beautifully packaged and looks so much more expensive than it is.Tuning was dead easy- it was hardly out by much.On my first play, which to be fair wasn’t for very long, I have to say I wasn’t sure. It felt as if the action was a little high. I re-packaged it and considered returning it. After all, it’s meant as an ‘as well as’ for me to keep in my studio - I didn’t really ‘need’ it, ahem.The following day I took it out again and had another play. I was in my camper van and it was pouring with rain so I wasn’t going anywhere for a while. This time I thoroughly bonded with it and it was so much fun!Took it with me to a session with mates that evening - played it for another 2 hours and didn’t want to put it down.So all in all, very pleased with it and very glad I gave it my best shot.

Very well built. Very good sound. I am delighted with it. It was better than I expected and the price was very good.

I own a solid Pono Ukulele that cost me over £600. it wasn't something I wanted to use in the garden or take to a BBQ. for fear of it getting damaged.Having heard these really are quite good as a travel ukulele I thought I would take the chance. A ukulele at this price.I really was expecting to send it straight back...how wrong I was!!!!it is absolutely superb. The sound is great, the build quality is great and playability is great. I really am blown away it has made me question why I sent £600 on a Pono ukulele?I could happily live with this as a main ukulele and may well reconsider keeping my Pono...no joke!

First impressions - It's a beautiful bit of kit.Surprisingly weighty (in a good way), but perfectly compact for a travel uke.Comes with a great travel case, spare strings, a strap, and a handy little Capo.The carbon fibre has a nice tactile matt finish. It's classy.Playability - this is where the Nova comes into its own. Its never going to be as rich a sound as a solid wood, but it comes very close! The patterned sound hole on the front of the uke is assisted by a second hole at the top of the body too. I haven't stopped playing this for the past two days.In conclusion - pretty to look at, nice to listen to, and fun to play. My Nova uke will be travelling with me on my next holiday this year, and will be played a fair bit at home too in the meantime.

Ordered the concert after watching pretty much all the online review videos. Ordered soprano after a while due to fomo, and thought I ll decide after trying out both. First of all, the ukulele looks bomb ( I got in black ). Second, the sound is pretty great for the money , and that doesn't it sounds cheap or anything, it's sound great and full especially in the concert. In my opinion,the concert sounded quite better and fuller ( more guitary, hollow, and dynamic ) than the soprano ( sounded like a plastic ukulele, more flatter sound). Returned the soprano within 5 minutes of trying both out. The size difference between the both is at most 2 or 2.5 inches ( length wise , width wise hardly any difference). I had the hardest time deciding which one to get before deciding to just try them both. If you can do the same. Otherwise hope my experience helps you decide. Just to be clear, the concert was a sure pick over the soprano for me.

Very late review but well worth. I really should’ve written it sooner cuz I’m just way too impressed.Just take this as your sign or star message. Get it. Absolutely worth your money. Amazing design. I watched so many videos and reviews and scoured the internet to make sure and I was absolutely not disappointed. Amazing customer service. The shipping said it would arrive late feb-March which was much later than my sisters birthday that was last Sunday and let me tell you. Customer service was an absolutely lovely experience. I told them if there was a way it would arrive early since it was out of stock in my country so it would be coming from abroad. I ordered it near the end of January and it arrived I kid you not, no less than 5 days later on January 28th. Plenty early. Amazing responsive service. It includes the bar clip, a sling, a very attractive case with a handle and sling, the ukulele of course and an extra set of strings which is not normal for most companies. That was really sweet of them. I got the black for my sister as she enjoyed the feeling of the sun warming the material. The feel is absolutely amazing and smooth. You don’t feel clammy it’s matte. If you’re worried about projection since the front hole looks “unique”, don’t be. The resonance is SUBLIME. It sounds amazing. It has a different rich deep sound yet still soprano in a way. I got the concert size since my sister would struggle with the smaller soprano she used to have. She has been playing it EVERY DAY. She loves it. She’s playing it to our budgies and they love it. The thickness is not at all bad it has a very hearty weight to it that’s perfect and it feels nice against your hand. The action is not bad at all and it’s been staying in tune so far subliminally. I’d say a beginner could easily start on this it’s so worth it. And it’s beautiful not everyone will have a sick looking ukulele like that. Just trust me I never take this much time to write a review but I was so damn impressed with the service and quality. I swear. I did as much research as you could possibly imagine if you need any type of final say, here it is. Trust Enya. Get the concert size ukulele.

It has been the biggest surprise that many people have found love with the Enya Concert Travel Ukulele a.k.a. the Nova U, a carbon fiber ukulele.For one, where many travel ukulele are soprano, Enya released a travel ukulele available in numerous colors but also, extra swag, gig bag and a marketing campaign which has many of the top ukulele YouTubers showcasing it on their channel.Now, as one who is learning to play ukulele, the idea of a travel concert ukulele is quite exciting.So, let’s begin with talking about Enya, the first thing one may see is the logo and its similarities to the singer enya. The type-face is totally different and there is no relation to the singer.Enya is based in China and while many ukulele’s from major brands are made in China, and known as Enya music, unlike other Chinese brands, this company is about quality, affordability and also making sure those who are wanting to learn the ukulele, you get treated with a lot of cool swag and a gig bag but most importantly, the company is known for listening to its customers and improving their product.The company includes with the travel uke and gig bag, a strap, a capo and backup fluorocarbon strings. A tuner is not included.And I know some people may look at the front and think this ukulele will be difficult to tune because of the Enya logo on the front. But this is not the case, because there is a sound hole, but it’s located on the side of the body.The version I got was black is made of 30% carbon fiber & polycarbonate.The finish is Satin but I will have to say, and it’s something I expected before I ordered this (that’s why I went back and forth of going black or white), but I love black too much and it’s a travel guitar, I expect to get fingerprints on this travel uke.The size is 23″ concert, which is the next step up in size after a soprano and before a tenor. The strings are Enya Fluorocarbon.I absolutely love the gold tuners on black. Oh, and it’s important to emphasize that these tuners kept their tune and probably had to adjust the tuners every half hour or so, as opposed to several minutes like some inexpensive ukes from China.One thing you’ll notice with those playing black Enya Concert Travel Ukulele Nova U – 23’’ Carbon Fiber are the fingerprints. So, if you can’t stand to see fingerprints, black may not be for you.And as I was playing the Enya Concert Travel Ukulele Nova U – 23’’ Carbon Fiber, I was impressed with it. Not just with the sound, how it retained its tuned sound, but also overall presentation from Enya and what it comes with.It’s actually quite awesome and while the sound is different from a wooden ukulele, not by a whole lot. The Nova U sounds absolutely awesome!In fact, you can see a few cool YouTubers performing with it:It’s important to note that Enya also offers a pickup, a DOUBLE AcousticPlus which is about double the price for those who want an electric version of this travel concert ukulele.Note: An Enya Concert Ukulele Nova U is under $90 US.So, for the most part, this is an awesome travel uke! I absolutely love it!But there would be a few things that would have made it perfect…Colored Frets – The Nova U needs colored frets, not all black. You can feel it, but you can’t really see them unless you are in the light.Fret Dots – For beginners, having fret dots on the side for beginners. Great to see Fret Markers on the Fret Board, but this would be popular for schools because the uke is durable, but if it had the fret dots, I can see these being purchased by music teachers for their classes.Tuner – Enya offers a tuner for many of their products, but not the Nova U. In fact, I think the set would benefit with the tuner more than the capo itself.But overall, this is an fantastic travel concert ukulele from Enya. If you are in the market for a travel ukulele or a uke to keep in the car or to play at home, definitely give the Enya Concert Ukulele Nova U 23’’ Carbon Fiber Travel Ukulele a try!

This ukulele doesn't look average. It does resemble a bit of a guitar, but with the nice warm sound of a ukulele. (Although you can also hear something of guitar in it.) I am really smitten by this unique sound. The concert format is nice and easy to handle. This ukulele plays wonderfully, you just don't want to put it down. The color is very catchy, more anthracite than black. Personally I don't like gold accents very much, but with this black version it has something chic.The ukulele was carefully packed, without an oversized outer box. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

This is my first ukulele but before it I had been playing an electronic guitar/bass for 10+ years so I won't say much about it.Sustain is not bad, sound is exactly what I wanted(clear, soft, no drizzles on the fretboard), it is loud if you want it to be loud and build quality is impressive(no scratches or unpolished parts etc.)I didn't know that strap would be so handy when you're switching to it from the guitars.I'm very happy with it, I can't say anything bad about it for this price and build quality.
