Great recipes! Best apple pie!
Just received the book.Loved the recipes and I see lots of Ottolenghi influence here. Healthy and heartwarming food. Great to see Kopytka or Kluski Śląskie as they are very typical in Poland. Beautiful design and pictures. I love the little intros to each recipe, they give a personal touch.Unfortunately, lots of recipes need typical polish ingredients (eg. twaróg) that might not be easily available abroad. Plus the English copy seems like wasn’t well translated or there are some little errors… but I guess that can happen.Anyway, there is not many good polish recipe books out there and this is def the best :) I just ordered some ingredients so looking forward to cooking 🧑🍳Edit: So just baked the apple pie from the book - best recipe! And easy to make :)

Good book, but…
I’m a great fan of cookbooks and I love usable cookbooks, with clear explanations, not too many fancy ingredients that you only use once and then abandon, and a high rate of success if you follow the recipes. This book definitely fulfills these criteria, and I came to love certain dishes such as celeriac schnitzel or smoked twarog pierogi. It’s beautiful too. The only quite annoying caveat is that most recipes contain a lot of fat in various forms: not great when you should be on a diet aimed at lowering your cholesterol.
