Small Tape Measure, Mini Retractable Dual Sided 80 Inch/2 M Measuring Tape

This is quite good and much smaller than my previous tape measure that has inch and metric. The scales have the same start point. I find that I often need to measure in both scales or to show myself how long something is if given only metric dimensions. I do not think it needs a lock function. It could be smoother when pulled out. It is quiet if it is carried in a pants pocket, unlike other tapes that can clack.

Always in my pocket. Decent quality, always rolls back up, never gets snagged. Inches and metrics. Treated it a bit gently and don't drag the blade all the way out and it should last a long time.

I just wish it had a locking system! Other than that its an incredible tool to take with you wherever you go!

I'm a comm tech, and always keep a small measuring tape in my pocket for antenna rod cutting or making short cables. Up until now, I packed a 60 year old Zippo tape measure in my pants pocket, but it's getting bulky and hard to pull out and retract. It's marked in inches only too, no metric. The markings are getting worn out as well. This is my replacement, and it's a solid little piece of heft that's about 1.5 inches square and 15/32 thick. The tape is very flexible, and it operates very smoothly. No, it doesn't lock, and doesn't have a hook like a standard tape. It's inches on one side and mm/cm on the other. No foot markings or stud spacing. (Like you need that in a tiny unit like this anyway) The inch side is in 32nds until 12 inches, then marked in in 16ths. Metric side is mm all the way, with cm number markings. There's a leader with the first mark about 2 inches in. That makes it easy to wrap around things for circumference. It's not that hard to hold the 1st mark where you need it and pull the tape out the rest of the way. It pulls out to a good 6 feet, which is nice. I had another cheap one that was almost as big, but only had 24 inches of tape which made it pretty useless. There's no plastic here, it's solid built of metal.

I love this little measuring tape. It's nice and tiny and fits in my pocketbook and it's very sturdy.

This is a pleasant tool, and is well built. My only complaint is that the scale does NOT start at the end of the tape, making it difficult to take inside measurements.

I need to do alot of measurements in my work. Having a pocket sized measurements makes that much easier.
