This is a big time saver, if you are painting walls and ceiling, different colors you will need one of these. paint the ceiling first, then do the walls with a roller, staying about 3 inches away from the ceiling, and then use this handy edger to finish the last 3 inches, be careful not to get paint on the little wheels.

Waste if money
I finally had the opportunity to use this recently, sadly after the return window closed, and it broke, not even 5 minutes into using it.The wheels simply popped off. So I am left with a useless piece of plastic and the task of priming where this item's malfunction left a smudge.I tried making the best of it, but the pads don't even stay in place and slide off.Very disappointed. I used this kind years ago and it was an amazing tool. This is a cheap imitation.

piece of junk
the roller wheels come of the stud which creates a HUGE mess. You get paint on the edges you are avoiding, you have to pull the pad off (which is full of paint) clean everything in the middle of trying to paint. Great concept but very poor product. do not buy

Proved priceless for reaching areas extremely difficult.
We have a 21 foot high ceiling in our entry way, which is impossible to reach with a ladder or standard scaffolding because of a spiral staircase. Professional painters wanted to charge thousands extra because they would have to construct special scaffolding to reach. This device made it possible to paint with a standard scaffold. Attached this edger to a long pole and completed the job.I would recommend reading the other helpful reviews, but in short, lubricate the wheels with silicone spray, clean them each time you apply an edge, and apply the paint with a brush as opposed to dipping it in paint. I found that if you go slow, you can ultimately go faste. Highly recommend.
