Imac Kit

The plastic used in these cages is flexible, heavy-duty and extremely durable. It would be almost impossible to chip or crack. The bars are close enough to contain Robo Hamsters and thick and solid enough to keep hamsters from squeezing through. The plastic is smooth and easy to clean. The diameter of the tubes (4.75 cm) are perfect for Syrian (Large) Hamsters. They are made of the exact same diameter of Syrian Hamster burrows in the wild (4-5 cm). Syrian hamsters are known to get stuck and sometimes die in the tubes of other cage brands. However because of the angle of the tubes the dwarf varieties can use the tubes also and the Robos are said to be especially good at swiftly running up the tubes without any difficulty. My Syrian loves his cage. If you use the attic part for Syrians just be sure to never let the Hamster see you unscrew and remove the round lids on the top. If you do they will realize that this is a way out and the will learn to twist them open or chew on them.The floor space is incredibly large for a modular cage but because of the multiple add on option the floor space is excellent. I added 4 expansion units but I have heard another owner of adding 5 and her Syrian Hamster totally loved it. Excellent thing is you can add 5 levels and still only use up the same floor space. The cage is ideal for Syrians because in the wild their burrow is about 6 to 8 feet long with at least 3 chambers. Dwarf hamsters have a network of longer tunnels but will greatly appreciate the floor space.I have been keeping hamsters for 31 years. I am very familiar with all pet products and am currently employed by PetSmart which is the largest pet store chain in all of the USA and Canada. This is the best quality of modular cages (cages with tubes) that I have ever seen and I had to special order mine from the UK and it was worth it. I currently breed Syrian hamsters and the only other cages I prefer to use are a 40 gallon (36Lx18Wx16H inch) glass tank for breeding females and an all metal and wire cage with 3 levels that measures 30L x 14W x 30H (inches) that I keep my favorite stud hamster in. And he also loves that cage and often prefers to stay in it after I give him his treats rather than have his freedom.There isn't anything I can think of that I dislike about this cage so far but even so I have never seen or owned a completely perfect hamster cage. Well, I do use a better made and larger hamster wheel but that doesn't bother me at all. Since a Syrian hamster should ideally have at least a 9 inch/23 cm wheel you can fit this on the top level by opting to not use the attic section. My hamster has not tried to chew the plastic cage clips, tubes or round lids yet after 4 months of use but you can buy replacements if needed. I actually have researched and read reviews on this cage for about a year before I bought it because since I had to have it shipped to the US where I live from the UK I wanted to make sure I would like it. I am very grateful to "Posh Pets" for allowing me to do this.You can't go wrong with the IMAC Fantasy Cage and adding these awesome Expansion Units to it. And as always all the finest products are obviously made in Italy.

So happy Thank you , I've had an imac for years and yes despite some peoples fixed beliefs about the size , I have kept Syrians in it for these reasons 1.No escapes . 2 . When my hamsters are I remove levels to either meet there needs or to provide palliative care . 3 . Easy to clean , no risks of harm due to chewing into or breaks . 4 Silent runners fit with a little positioning 5 . You can use the levels as a safe play area with supervision for free runs . So I recommend this I've kept more than five hamsters in this case at separate times , all my hamsters have lived very long healthy lives . So this cage gets my rating and by no means so I discredit anyone else's values to there own options , I love this cage !!!

I cannot fault this product. My hamster has 4 levels in her cage, and she gets plenty of exercise for a Syrian. She has stopped chewing her bars and is much happier with more space. The quality of this cage is like no other, and worth every penny for the sake of a happy, content little hamster. NB don't use with a dwarf hamster as the bars are too far apart and there's there's high chance they will escape!

We love the Imac extension kit, having already purchased the main hamster cage. However, the cage comes with a tube for the hamster to travel from one floor to another. The tubes are in two halves and link together with three joining rings but there was only two joining rings in the sealed plastic bag. This means the tube is not safe as at one end the two halves could separate with the weight of the hamster and so now we cannot use the extension floor. Very disappointing that only 9 parts are included in the sealed bag and one is missing! I have yet to find a way of contacting Amazon to resolve this.

Great little hamster cage if you want to add more levels which in some ways instead of buying a whole new cage is a great idea. It just wasn't for us as we had a Houdini of a hamster that kept escaping from that one.

Got the imac fantasy cage so I got this to add more room. I have not got the hamster as yet. Brilliant that I can get another extension.

This fitted perfectly to the cage we already had. And my little girl was excited to give her hamster a whole new floor.

I thought the original cage was to small was going to buy another one then saw an extension was available this is a great buy and have a happy hammy! It’s a must add on
