Would it be advisable to cut patches out of this 6" x 25" film roll and use on spots where a Saris Bones 2 bike rack makes contact with trunk+bumper?

I'm inclined to say yes. I cut patches out of the 3M Clear Bra Paint Protection Film roll for the spots where my Yakima landing pads make contact with my car paint.

Can this be removed without damaging the paint?

Hi! I'm hoping to use this product a little differently. Does anyone know if this will stick to wood?

The adhesive is very tacky so it would definitely stick but how long it stays on would depend on the surface finish of the wood. It would stick much better to a sanded smooth and finished wood than it would to a rough sanded board. Surface prep is key to getting anything to stick to something else.
