Love it,works great and really helps on rainy days,cold weather,I can look out my window and watch the hens go in and the door closes behind them,also I put a solar panel with it and it’s totally trouble free,game changer for sure!!!

This works amazing, it was easy to install, looks nice, the instructions were easy to use, my husband did have to calibrate it but other than that it has worked like a dream, no longer have to get up at 5:00 a.m. to let my chickens out!

6-13-2026 Much heavier than RunChicken T-50. My RunChicken T-50 "works" but is really broken, as it only moves if I physically nudge the door to move. Motor is significantly bigger than RunChicken motor. Internal has built-in rubber seal. I will update after installation, and after 6months. So far, very excited for this chicken door. Seems to be much better quality than RunChicken, which somehow has lots of reviews and seems to be high quality. But again, my T-50 door is dead after a year and a half in Central Texas climate.

Changing the batteries is a pain! You have to take the whole unit off which in the winter should be fun...NOT. Now I need to change the current time and can't get that to pull up. I watched YouTube videos and can't find one that changes the time. Now after a couple of months I had to make adjustments and can't get the time to come up since changing the batteries. Very frustrating!!! **Update - Great customer service. I would give it 5 stars but I still don't like you have to remove the unit from the wall to change the batteries. **

I have been using Chickenguard openers for over 10 years. I have owned several during that time. They typically give me 5 years of relatively trouble free life. My openers are exposed to rain, snow and sun constantly beating on them. They just keep on working. I see many reviews about how they are expensive. Break down the cost over time. 5 years, you are looking at roughly 7 cents a day. Let’s say it dies on the day your 3 year warranty expires…about 13 cents per day for peace of mind. There is no way I could keep birds with my work schedule and travels without a chickenguard. I have only ever had to contact Chickenguard about problems. That was for my first unit many years ago, which was a crude design compared to the current models. They were very responsive and helpful. Without asking they shipped me a new opener from across the pond. I haven’t had to contact them since. I have been a repeat customer ever since that first interaction. They are constantly improving their openers. I have saved a few for parts over the years, just in case I needed parts for the others. I will include some pics of the old versions alongside this Pro version.

Installed this new door opener and has worked flawlessly so far. Installation and setup was simple. I have been wanting to get this door opener for years but my diy lasted for years. Picked this one after alot of research and reading many reviews. I hope it last for years as well.

So frustrated, my ducks are not safe every night while their customer service keeps saying they want different proof the motors shot. Totally unacceptable, the "computer" has the "up button" mixed up with the "down button" ???, the motor sounds horrible and moves at a snails pace after 1 year 11 months, and so went to the website to attempt to order my 4th unit in 6 years and saw the 3 year warranty. So, instead of buying another one, I decided to try and reach out to customer service on the advertised 3 year warranty. I never got call back after I left messages with the customer service number, finally got reply thru email, have been battling back and forth with customer service they want videos (which I provided about 3 minute video of everything its doing) they say to replace batteries, already did that 4 times over the last 5 weeks. Now they want a video showing the pulley system where the batteries are, showing the pull string and if its being caught or being stuck, which I know its not because I've checked it each time I've replaced the batteries which the batteries are not even used they still have full strength but I replace them anyway, but its the motor that's shot and grinds and moves at a snails pace. Really frustrated, I guess it's just time to find a totally different system, and a system that has an app I can use with my phone, which this one doesn't!

Exactly what I needed, took me like 10 min to setup and install and now I don't need to worry about my chickens being in an open coop when I'm at work!

The first one of these I had was bought before 2016 it served me faithfully till two days ago when the poor old thing just didnt have the puff the raise the door . Much easier to programme ,looking at how long the first one lasted the quality in build is there. I did choke over the price of the first one ,but if memory serves me well its not that much more expensive . TBH you cant really complain about a device that keeps your stock safe. I would not hesitate to recommend this product .
