Q: Can i use it for trolling 10 km speed

It would depend on the weather conditions on a calm day you could but they aren't too sturdy on higher speeds. For me I do a lot of walleye trying at about 1.2 mph and they work just fine for that on a real real choppy day it's tough to use these

Q: What keeps the rod in the holder, and is it easy to take out, when your cork "goes under"?

The rod slides in and out the holder quite easily. If it's a long handle rod, most of it will be sticking out the back of this device. There is a 'C' plastic sleeve (fitted on the device) that you can slide over the rod handle for a little extra security. When you get a strike, slide back the sleeve, pull the rod out and set that son-of-a-gun hook. And remember, once you tighten up everything, your rod holder will be secure! TIGHT LINES.

Q: My saltwater rod handle are large diameter (about 1 1/2 "). Circumference 4 1/2 inch. Will my rods fit hole?

This rod holder will accept a rod diameter maximum 2/12 inches. So if they are no more than that they should fit. I purchased this holder for my kayak so that I wouldn't have to drill holes. Not sure if it will hold up under stress of ocean fish strikes.
