One of our dogs decided to take quite a bite out of our leather sofa, leaving damage larger than one of the patches. To complicate matters, the hole is on the corner of a cushion, so there’s no easy way to repair it. We contacted a mobile leather repair shop and they said they would be unable to make a repair that size and we would need to contact someone that does bigger jobs, which would involve being without our sofa for a while (and probably be pretty costly). We decided just to patch the set, but we had a very hard time finding a patch that was a similar color to our sofa—it’s got a green tint to it. We finally found these patches and decided to give them a try—they’re not a perfect match, but they’ll do. We needed to use both of them because of the size of the damaged area, and we had to make a couple of cuts and get creative to make the patch work on the corner, but it’s working so far. The patches are very sticky, but there’s a little room for error if you need to reposition them (just try to figure out your placement before peeling off the backing). If I think of it, I’ll try to update my review down the road when we see how the patches hold up.

This stuff really sticks, I put it right on a corner that gets movement when you sit and so far it has stuck fast. I found out from a previous work that the surface needs to be really clean, so those little alcohol wipes work really well, then heat up the area to repaired, I used a hair dryer to make to where it is fairly warm to the touch and apply the patch and work all the air out while it’s warm, then let it cool to room temperature and your done. Yes I will buy again if needed.

I bought the self-adhesive leather repair kit for a chair that had a 6' x 2' crack in the leather about 6-months ago. The chair is only a couple of years old, but it's had some really rough treatment. I didn't want to throw away the chair, but I was embarrassed to have guests come over to the house and have to sit in the raggedy recliner. Eventually, I remembered this leather repair that I bought but lost around the house somewhere. I thought to myself where is that leather repair kit. I searched for a few minutes until I found it. Then I went searching for a video on Amazon that would show how to apply the leather repair patch. On the video, it appeared so simple, so I tried to apply the entire path to my 6' x 2' leather crack. It just so happened that the patch fit perfectly into a 1/3d portion of the seat. I placed the patch in the center and secured it with my fingers. It looks perfect. I can't tell that there is a black patch in the middle of my chair's seat. Maybe my chair was made for this path. You would need a magnifying glass to tell the difference. Even the texture is the same. I love this leather repair kit so much that I just bought another one. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a favorite chair that needs a repair. You can do this.

Waste of money. You need to cut it to find out it’s not working, inferior quality. By the time you do it, it’s to damaged to return.
