Good value, Versatile for small pets
Calcium for parakeet. He will not use a cuttle bone. I use a mortar and pestle to grind these bits (with other supplements) into a fine powder and add to his seed blend. He has a very healthy beak and feet, and this supports his molting as well. Update: Added photo, my bird has not had a split beak or scaly toes and he molts easily, he has strong legs and wings and seems to be growing well (he is 2 years old now) we've been using this crushed supplement awhile and have weaned him off the millet from the shop where I bought him so he attests to the benefit of the calcium by his health and how much he enjoys his food. I add a pinch of seaweed and a pinch of salt and then oat flakes or grape nuts or a macadamia nut and grind that up with the calcium and stir it into his seed and pellet blend.

Good, but Could Be Better.
I like that the cuttlebone is in smaller pieces, but I don't like how they still have the hard back mixed in with the soft side. I was hoping that these would just be the soft calcium pieces for my aquatic turtle to bite and eat safely, since they're not supposed to eat the hard side of a cuttlebone. So, I do the extra work and take off the hard parts and my turtle likes them. 🐢

My isopods love it, it's easy for them to eat they seem to eat this more than their whole cuttlebone and these done get funky because they're smaller

Nice big pieces😁
I gave the crushed sepia king 5 stars because the pieces are pretty big. I’ve ordered crushed from another company and it was tiny pieces and dust. I usually break them up myself but this was very convenient😂. I will order again for my turtles.

Tortoise Love

Practical But Under Supervision
There is a drawback with this product. While it is nice it is broken up into pieces aside from the usual long calcium, these bits can get stuck within a tortoise and make it difficult for their leg movement. I came home from work and tortoises right back leg was stuck because a small chunk was wedged Inbetween it’s shell.
