Works well
I had a cellphone and tablet hold from my BMW and it come.with a base because it was built into the back of my chairs. I order this for my Defender and works just the same. I would prefer to not have to raise my headrest for it but it's not a lot. I didn't use the metal clamps because they wouldn't fit around the headrest arms.
