It really only took 5 minutes to put on. It was the second one I bought and this one was so much easier. Works great!!! Keeps kids out of my room.

After locking myself out of my house, I decided it was time to change my locks to smart devices. I wanted a door lock that allowed for fingerprint and pin. The positive features of this lock are: *Fingerprint reader *Passcode PIN *Physical keys for backup *Backup power through USB ensures no lock-out even if batteries die (and it is the current usb-C, not micro jack) *Smartphone APP, which can greatly help in programming (registering multiple pins, fingerprints, temporary codes, auto-locking, other functions) The installation instructions were good. Lock and door handle seem solid, with no wiggle or loose play in movement as other handles have had. App works well as makes registering fingerprints and pins easier than programming with codes on the lock. Fingerprint reader works relatively well, but sometimes need to hold finger in position longer, or move and reset a few times to accept--do wish it was a bit better/more accurate, but its not bad. May try to re-register another print (same finger) which sometimes helps. It auto-locks within a few seconds, which is secure, but sometimes annoying (but you can change setting if desired). Seen a few reviews that state the lock is worthless and anyones fingerprint can unlock it, which was worrisome before purchase. But, this is a safety feature and clearly stated in the instructions: if pins and fingerprints are not correctly registered, it will allow any fingerprint to work to keep you from being locked out. You MUST register those pins/fingerprints correctly before the lock can function! Cannot determine how long the batteries will last at this time, and of course how often the lock is used, autolocking mode, ect. makes any claim meaningless. Mine has been going (with constant auto-lock) and a few unlocks a day, for 2 months with no issue so far. I like the door handle lock for its color choices, and fair price for the many features, which all work well.

Easy to install and the knob looks and feels great. However, the print reader is really picky about angle and print condition. It misreads more than it approves and so you end up scanning three or more times each time you want to enter. Edited down to one star after 2 1/2 months. The scanner on this handle is maddening. I have four prints registered in the software... both handles I purchased followed the same pattern: first day - opens fine with my primary print. Second day - gets really picky about the position of the print. Third day - stops working for primary at all but works SOMETIMES for secondary print. Fourth - stops working for secondary at all and doesn't open with any print at all. Dry hands? Won't open. Sweaty hands? Won't open. Grimy hands? Won't open. Just washed hands? Won't open. I suppose this means it's a really secure handle but if you put it on a door that you need to open with any regularity I guarantee you'll find yourself contemplating just kicking the damn thing in at some point. Too late for me to send these back... I suggest you don't waste your money.

Product is 5 Stars, but... they sent a really nice 1 year warranty card with a QR that you scan to activate, only to have it take you to a blank page saying the site is no longer valid. So good product, but no warranty I guess? This is my second one, first one I had from 3 years prior to moving to new house.

Bought these for a couple of doors, each serving a different purpose and the product worked well for both. One room has more sensitive, dangerous things inside of it, so I wanted to add a lock for people to be able to enter the room. I installed the fingerprint lock and added both me and my partner's fingerprints as the only ones that can access the room. The fingerprint sensor is OK but it is better if you just create three fingers of the same one with different positions (like you would for the older iPhones). The second room just leads to the basement. We didn't want to limit people from entering this room; instead, we were using the lock as a means of keeping children/babies out. The nice thing about these locks is, by default and out of the box, they auto-lock behind themselves and they allow anyone with to activate them with their fingerprint. The app was straightforward to set up (Tuya Smart) and includes the ability to turn off the beeps so you can enter and exit rooms silently. Overall this was a great product for the money and I'm glad I picked this up for my house.

This item was easy to install app was not difficult to add the only thing that was hard to do is how to unlock it with code but once you get it right it’s a piece of cake would like to give it a 10 star but I can’t will recommend it

It’s a nice when installed but does not function correctly. Allows for a code but has never worked. Thumb print works great. Never connects to WiFi. As long as all you need is thumb print its excellent for that
