Very nice snap closures
I read about these plastic snaps on a sewing website--how useful they were and relatively easy to use. The main application I was interested in was for baby clothes. This kit has everything you need. You get the pliers, additional tools, and a nice assortment of snap colors. Attaching a snap is very easy. You have a cap and a socket and then a corresponding cap and stud for the other side of your item. Instructions are clear about how to place the snap pieces in the pliers. Just be careful as you do this, but it really isn't hard. The hardest part for me is making sure that you are attaching the snaps to the proper position on your item. I found these KAM snaps to be easier to use than the metal ring type snaps and Dritz pliers. The kit comes with an awl to punch a hole. You poke the pointy part of the cap through this hole and then lay the socket or stud gently over the cap point. Gently place the cap onto the black part of the pliers. Make sure everything is positioned properly and squeeze firmly! That's pretty much it. Do read the instructions for the details. They turned out really cute on the baby clothing. I used them on the shoulders of a quilted sleep sack, the front of an infant gown, and the crotch area of a romper. So far I think I've only used the white ones, but the colored ones are really cute, too. You can order more snaps from KAM. They do come in other sizes. The included size is "20", considered the most popular size. Do be careful, as it is difficult to remove a snap but not impossible. KAM has a tool, and that would make sense if you are really installing a lot of these. However, you can find some information on YouTube about how to remove a snap without this special tool. I have had to do it once when I damaged a stud. I was able to replace the snap fine.

Worth every single penny, perfect!
I've previously struggled with snap fasteners that I bought at the fabric store, but I hate the cheap look of sew on snaps, so I decided to try these since they were highly recommended on various craft blogs/vlogs. Oh my goodness I am so glad I decided to give these a chance, they are AHMAYZING. Easy to use, the snaps are lovely and high quality, and they came perfectly packed and organized. And the whole kit with snaps costs less than pliers alone of other brands at the craft stores. A few notes that I feel are important because of some of the varied reviews I've seen on here: 1. Mine did come with very detailed instructions (posting a photo), including an FAQ/troubleshooting section, as well as website of the manufacturer for additional help. Not sure if they've just recently started including them, but if for whatever reason you don't have them, please see the attached photo or check the manufacturer website. 2. They came very well packed and organized, with the pliers and associated tools all in one little plastic case and the snaps in a separate case with dividers. FYI the dividers in the case are removable, so if you wanted to use it for something else after it's empty you can reconfigure it. Some notes on the colors that I feel don't really come through in the photos advertised: -The "brown" color I would really describe as bronze. It has a noticeable gold undertone with very fine sparkles. This is actually a plus for me, because I'm much more likely to use bronze snaps than brown. -The purple is really a mauve shade, almost as red as it is purple. Also pretty, just not in the plum/violet range you may expect -The pale pink is very pale, like a baby pink/powder pink -The red is a true red, but if I were describing it the way that I do lipsticks, I would note that it is an orange undertone red, not exactly cherry The snaps, as far as I've used them at this point, seem super durable. I will definitely update if I have issues with them coming apart in use or getting deformed in the wash.

Easy to use, very pleased with these snaps and pliers
First off, it’s super easy to use, but they aren’t kidding about the 2mm fabric thickness limit, so watch that. I literally had snaps installed on a pouch within three minutes of opening the amazon box, super easy to do, way easier than metal snaps, which always gave me trouble. It does require a bit of hand strength and dexterity. Some people had a messed up case that held the pliers and accessories, mine was fine, but they really should have made the box a hair bigger, as everything fits in just so, and if you don’t get the pliers in all the way they tend to try to spring open and jump out of the box. But overall five stars for ease and simplicity, variety of colors, there are a ton of snaps, and the instructions were clear and easy to read.

Good quality & easy to install but thick and difficult to open
They're nice snaps. Easy to use and the directions are great and straightforward. They're thick compared to regular metal snaps & They're a little more difficult to open than traditional metal snaps. I used these on newborn outfits and I think they were maybe a little too big and difficult to open for this purpose. I used on bibs for older babies who are teething & it was a better use than baby clothes. I also used as eyes for a costume, & it turned out pretty cute.

Good kit- make SURE the thickness of fabric is LESS than 2mm
This is a great starter kit. There is an impressive selection of snaps and the tools are good. Before getting this kit, I had never installed any snaps. The instructions coming with the kit are short, clear and complete: you can’t miss. A couple trouble shootings are included. Everything is covered. The kit comes in two plastic boxes: one for the snaps and one for the tools. The box for the snaps is good, but the box for the tools is flimsy: it doesn’t close properly. That’s a minor flaw, I can still put the tools back inside but it should be better. One WARNING. I bought this kit for a sewing project requiring snaps to be applied to 2 layers of faux leather. The “official” two layers combined thickness was 2 mm... But it wasn’t quite so. When fixing a snap, you pressure two pieces together: one piece has a flat head and a pin and the other is a “male” or a “female” snap. Well, the 2 snap pieces didn’t stay together on the two layers of faux leather. No matter how hard I pressed with the pliers, they fell apart !! Trouble shooting said that when this occurred, it was because the fabric was thicker than 2mm and you needed LONGER pins, not included in this kit !! Oh boy. I didn’t expect that (I thought I was within the thickness limit). I couldn’t afford the delay/trouble of ordering the same snap colours with longer pins and wait for another long delivery. So I’m going to tell you what I did to get out of this situation. I decided to try reducing the thickness of the fabric by removing one layer on the underside, just enough for the snap piece. 1-To do a neat job, I used one of the “extra” DIE included in the kit as a template and drew a circle around it at the exact emplacement with an erasable marker. 2-using small, sharp manicure scissors, I made a small incision BETWEEN the two layers in the center of the circle 3-I carefully cut 2-3 mm INSIDE the circle ⭕️, between the layers, parallel to the circle line all the way around and removed that small circle. 4- I tried the snap piece for fit (perfect fit) 5- I marked the center of the now one layer faux leather fabric pricked it with the tool then put the top snap pin piece through. 6- I used the pliers to press the two pieces together and bingo: the pieces fit perfectly and don’t fall apart, and once the pieces are in, you can hardly see any trace of the “surgery”. Success depends on three things: First, make sure your fabric is LESS than 2mm thick. Second, make sure the PIN piece is completely imbedded (hidden/swallowed) inside the black DIE before closing the pliers and applying force. Third, read the instructions(!) they are short & well written. This is a wonderful kit that you will enjoy using.

Solution to my snap woes
I recently convinced myself I could sew clothes for my son. I tackled a onesie and needed snaps for the first time. I had no clue what I was doing or needed. Don’t waste your time with other snap systems like I did. I was close to giving up on snaps until trying this kit. It is amazing. Simple to use and the snaps have actually stayed put. A bonus is that they aren’t too difficult to remove with cuticle clippers if you’re like me and don’t always pay close attention when adhering them. I ordered additional snap colors and the metallic version actually mesh well with real metal ones. No notes. Great value and system.

Snaps for bibs!
I struggled putting snaps on bibs and dreaded doing it. Someone at the craft store told me about KAM snaps. This set is AMAZING! They go on with ease and are durable. It doesn't require much pressure. I don't have any fear of a prong sticking a baby now. So lucky someone told me about this. I'd give it more than 5 stars if that was possible!

Great kit, works perfectly, really happy.
I bought this set after having a disaster with a different one that I initially purchased. The original set was the kind with metal snaps, which either didn't click together at all because the tool was misaligned or the snaps broke apart when you undid them (in my case on baby bibs) all in all a total waste of time and money. This set is the total opposite of that!! The tool is well made and feels very sturdy when using it, no misalignment issues here. The plastic snap parts fit together so perfectly and have a reassuring 'snap' sound when you do and undo them. They also come in a really nice mixture of colours. After having such a frustrating first experience with a snap fastening kit (by a brand called "no fun") I was so pleased with how perfectly this one works. Definitely recommend this product!
