Potty training success with these training pants!
Not just for potty training, my favorite panties in general! These panties are not flimsy. They are thick and well made. My 2 year old can put this on by herself! Sizing: I started potty training at 18 months and my child weighed about 21 lbs. I’m so glad Gerber makes the 18 month size because these were one of the few that fit her! Even at 25 lbs. I prefer these over the 2t sizing because it is more snug. The 2t-3t is still slightly big. Accidents: the absorbent, thick layers makes accidents so much easier to clean up. The first thing I think when she has an accident is-was she wearing Gerber training panties or regular underwater. With Gerber, she may have some tinkle going down her legs, but I’m not going to be see a large puddle on the floor. If anything, there will be a small puddle, less than the size of the palm of my hand, on the floor. This is so much better than regular underwear with zero absorbency. Regular underwear will leave her with completely soaked pants, puddle on the floor, and a footprint trail of pee. SAVE yourself the headache. Buy these and buy a few more. We don’t even use regular underwear. The cut: I love how this truly covers your child’s bottoms. I can’t stand how Walmart underwear is cut so thin in the private area. Little kids are always lifting up their dresses and jumping around. I want my child wearing panties that provide good coverage! These hug well on her thighs and are wide on the bottoms! Diapers/Training Pull ups- We have been very successful with potty training and I owe it to these training panties. My toddler did not seem to mind if her pull up was wet. She would carry on and not even notice at times. It did not work well for us. These panties make it VERY obvious if she wet her underwear. You will need to change it. There’s not walking around and continuing to play with these on. I find that it gives you the perfect balance between wetness but with minimal cleaning. She will even wear this at night and it quickly (within one night) she learned how to not pee on her bed! Thank you Gerber for making potty training a lot easier with this. The one thing I wish was available is a 12-18 months size as well!

Ideal Transition Underwear for Potty Training
These pants have been a lifesaver during our potty training journey. These underwear serve as the perfect transition from diapers to regular underwear. While they don’t function like diapers and won’t absorb pee, they offer a thicker layer of protection compared to standard kids’ underwear, providing some comfort and peace of mind during accidents. What I love most about these training pants is their ease of use. Even my 2-year-old can easily put them on and take them off independently, which promotes a sense of independence and confidence during the potty training process. The soft fabric ensures comfort against sensitive skin, and the cute designs add a fun element to the experience. One thing to note is that these training pants allow pee to wet through the fabric, so it’s essential to pair them with additional layers of protection, such as waterproof pants or training underwear with built-in absorbency, especially during the early stages of potty training. Overall, I highly recommend the Gerber Baby Girls’ Infant Toddler 4 Pack Potty Training Pants Underwear to parents embarking on the potty training journey with their little ones. They’re a practical and comfortable option that makes the transition from diapers to underwear a smoother and more enjoyable experience for both parents and children alike.

Cute and comfy
Oh my gosh! I'm so happy with these training pants! It's amazing that not only the outer part but the inner lining is all cotton. I like that it feels like plain underwear while still having that absorbent gusset. The material is thick and soft, good quality. I'm happy to report that the sizing is spot-on as well. One thing I don't like about some brands is that their training pants are so snug and tight that it leaves red lines on my toddler's thighs and belly. These fit just right without having the stretch the whole span of the elastic just to get on. Little accidents are very well contained, though I have yet to experience a big one.

Soft and thick; perfect for 1st panties and training
I got these for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and we love them for her. They are thick and soft and seem to be more absorbent for the little “oh no!”moments she wets a little bit before being able to reach the potty. I purchased size 2t for her; she weighs around 26~27 pounds; 2’10” in height and typically wears size 2-3T. The Gerber sets fit her more comfortably than the previous set of training panties I bought for her by another brand; I’m not having to struggle with these like I do with the other brand’s pairs to get them pulled up and down because the other’s material isn’t as stretchy or soft as the Gerber pairs are. And because of that I also think these will be easier for her to pull up/down on her own as she’s learning to potty more independently without as much adult assistance. The prints are so cute, she’s always so proud to show me she’s wearing them because she thinks they’re “so pretty!” So I love that she loves them which helps her feel more excited about potty training in general, more confident and comfortable with no longer wearing diapers. I recommend these for anyone who has a toddler who is potty training and learning to wear big kid underwear. And I plan to purchase more as needed in the future for my daughter.

Perfect for early potty training
These did exactly as I'd hoped! Some of the reviewers seem confused as to what training underwear is for. This is not for a long car ride when you want to contain an accident that you know will happen. That is what a diaper is for. These are for allowing a toddler the experience of feeling the wetness when they pee so that they gain awareness of it happening in the moment and not after the fact. The thickness in the crotch prevents you from having to scrub puddles of pee off the floor everywhere. Yes, they will leak if the child pees a huge amount. They are not designed to catch it all. That is what a diaper is for. If you don't want an accident, you're not *potty training*. These do not wick moisture away from the skin. They are designed to make the child feel uncomfortable sitting in their own pee so that they are motivated to use the potty next time. Why buy these over pull-ups? Pull-ups are designed to contain your child's pee and keep that moisture off the skin enough that they don't get a diaper rash. If they're not uncomfortable, why would they be motivated to stop playing and use the potty? Putting your child in a pull-up teaches them that accidents are ok if you really don't feel like trying. If you put your child in this underwear and commit to a week of lots of laundry and floor scrubbing, your child will be potty trained in a fraction of the time they would be wearing diapers or pull-ups. It's not fun and it takes commitment, but it's worth it. How do I know? Before I even had my 3 girls, I worked at a daycare for 6 years, 4 as a teacher and 2 as management. I have personally helped potty train about 30 kids. There are so many different ways that kids can gain control of their bodily functions and master this skill, but one thing is universally true--if you don't jump into this transition with two feet, they will sense your lack of commitment and use the diaper whenever possible. The inconvenience is always on you, not them. Wait till your child is definitely ready and you can go from diapers to occasional accidents (with diapers at night) in a week with underwear.

great value
These pants are quite genius for starting out potting training. They look like underwear, so my girl was open to wearing it. Gerber also makes training pants with a plastic liner in the crotch to hold a little extra pee, but my daughter didn't like the crinkle sound it makes. These are thick cotton with padding to absorb some pee when there's an accident. Put some cotton pants over these and there's some extra absorbancy. There will def be wetness down the legs. If you are looking for zero mess, then get pullup diapers, don't look here. My daughter will just pee in pullups without a care; with these she understood the concept that she needs to pee or else she gets drenched. Great motivator. My kid is 3.5 yrs old, 30 lbs and tall (slender). 3T did fit kinda big like everyone says, but after a few washes they fit a little better while staying soft. Tip: To prevent messes on dining chairs, couches and carpet, have child sit on those waterproof liners for changing pads/cribs and wash when messy. Or use disposable pet peepee pads. Less of a headache. pros: generous booty area=less wedgies! soft leg openings, like a tshirt good thick quality cotton vibrant colors great value for 4 pants
