Great product at a reasonable price
My work desk has 2 monitors because I need them to be efficient. Simply have to have various windows open at the same time. Old adapter gave out so I went and tried this one. Super easy to connect and worked immediately. Only negative is having to take up a USB slot for that extra wire, but it's not a big deal. Biggest upside is I'm back to having both my monitors, so I'm happy =]

Did not work
Maybe I had a faulty unit and everyone got one that functions. Mine didn’t work. When I hooked this up my system couldn’t detect any monitors. I tried restarting my system, unplugging/replugging the cable, made sure my display settings were ok… nothing worked to make this splitter function the way it was meant to

Works for Extended displays
Got this to split a docking station (2 Display outs 1 HDMI out) to use 4 monitors with all separate windows (Extended display at least in windows). It works for the purpose.Only current negative is having to use an external power supply (usb) (although, it's probably required for any displayport splitter in extended display mode).

Dual Monitor Splitter
This is a good option for a video splitter. After plugging it in, the color was much better than the previous splitter.

Works-ish, but can't do dual 4K60
While it works as a MST hub, it appears to have severe signal integrity issues.I purchased this to replace another MST hub that was starting to have occasional flickering problems with one of its ports (heat/age). This one is FAR more sensitive to cable issues - to get a single 4K60 display running through the adapter:* The connection to the computer needed to be direct, no adapters or extension cables. Even a short UHBR 13.5 compatible pigtail was too much for it and I'd get no signal.* The connection to the monitor needed to be short, and high-quality. Of the previous two 6-foot HBR2-rated (DP 1.2) cables that were in use (which are sufficient for 4K60, and worked fine with the old hub), one had flickering issues and another simply gave no signal. The longest cable I found to work was a 4-foot HBR3 (DP 1.4) or better cable. This would indicate that there's something in the device running right at the ragged edge - anything less than a perfect connection and it fails. This leads onto the second issue - the device simply doesn't support running two 4K60 monitors at once. You can run either output at 4K60, but then the other is limited to 4K30. I'm guessing that this is because the manufacturer knows about the issues, and couldn't get dual-4K60 working even under perfect lab conditions. So, if you've got good cables, and don't expect to ever need dual-4K60, then this device will probably do the job. If, like me, you need (or may need) dual-4K60, then look elsewhere.

Overcame a HDMI hardware failure
Display port splitter installed easily and was immediately recognized on a Win 10 workstation. I had a workstation with a failed HDMI output port, and I Used this to maintain the 3 display workstation setup. Picture quality was excellent. It was a lot easier and less expensive than replacing or repairing the failed HDMI port on the all in-one workstation. Make sure you have a Display port on your video source and monitors. This will not fit an HDMI only sustem. 👍👍👍👍👍
