Rubber case fit perfectly, and I did test every button as well as battery/card door access. As it does fit over most of the camera rather tightly there is no movement or slippage which is a huge plus. When holding the camera I just feel I have a better grip and hold.

It is a solid case with a very nice texture. Some other reviewer mentioned that it may be flappy on left side. I personally see it slightly sticking out near the menu button, but it's not a big deal. It doesn't affect buttons functionality and strap hooks also going through the case adding some fixation. Since the screen is noticeably bigger on a7r5, manufacture had to compromise in some places, like making a smaller profile band under the eye-piece and leaving compartments on the left accessible. So I think the protection is reasonable just to slow down tear and wear. My fingers are not big, so it is also not a problem for me regarding the closer distance to the lens and potentially rubbing it.

I bought this for my new Sony A7r5 camera. I had one on my a7r3 for 3 years and it kept the camera looking like new and protected it from all kinds of bumps & bruises. The new cover fits like a glove and looks great. On top of that I believe my camera will be wel protected.

It’s thick enough to protect it from scratches and dents, but it comes with a few downsides - It makes holding the camera feel uncomfortable I cant help but notice my fingers rub or touch the lens more because of the added thickness on the grip. The grip on this camera is perfected and balanced, so altering it does impact its comfort negatively. - The extra durability may contribute to how hot this camera gets I’ve noticed on a hotter days, this cover and camera gets extremely hot. I’m not sure if it’s causing the camera to get hotter or if it’s just normal behavior. I know this camera can get hot from shooting 8k, but I was shooting photos when I noticed how hot it was. Something to keep in mind.

Not sure why the left side has no connection to the bottom, the left flap doesn’t seat fully and just feels off? It’s a basic case to protect the buttons from yellowing from finger prints, the buttons are basically unreadable I’m prob going to have to get permanent marker to draw in each button? But it at least protects the camera housing from just puttin it down on surfaces etc but it’s deff not perfect in anyway I’ll likely find something diff
