Great build quality and easy to use
Great switch, good build quality and speed. I am able to test up to my internet speed of 2100 Mbps, it works flawlessly and consistently.

Issues at home with Internet get this
We had an issue with the internet speed, we ended up replacing the switch and ethernet cables and that fixed the speed issues. This unit gives full max download and upload.

Unstable multi gigabit performance and constant link drops
I bought these switches to add 2.5 Gbit connectivity to my home network, but they quickly caused serious problems. My setup includes a DOCSIS 3.1 S33 modem feeding a UniFi Dream Machine Pro through a 10 Gbit SFP port, and the Dream Machine shows full speed using its internal speed test. The upstream connection is not the issue. The trouble began when I connected these switches. Even with a 10 Gbit SFP uplink, the performance was unstable. Speed tests would spike up to around 700 Mbit per second, then freeze and fail. Other tests would only reach about one third of my expected speed. The switches could not hold a steady data path under load. The real proof came when I tried upgrading my MacBook to macOS Tahoe. The download repeatedly failed because the network link kept dropping. The switch would momentarily pass traffic, then choke, stall, and reconnect. These constant dropouts made even basic online tasks unreliable. This indicates that the internal switching silicon and backplane are not capable of sustaining multi gigabit traffic. The ports may show 2.5 Gbit link status, but the switch cannot actually move data at that rate. Even the 10 Gbit uplink option did nothing to fix this. As soon as I put the old Cisco switches back, everything immediately returned to full and stable performance. If you rely on a stable connection for software updates, backups, or high speed internet, avoid these switches. They do not deliver usable multi gigabit performance and the link instability makes them a liability in any modern network.

Low price and works. Solid deal.
Since some Amazon reviews will be mixed with other models by the same manufacturer, I should mention this review is for the Tenda TEM2010F, 8 Port 2.5G Ethernet Switch. I connected this switch to a 2.5Gb port on my router and then connected the ethernet cable from 2.5Gb devices. Everything is running great and file transfer speeds are what they should be for this speed switch. I am adding to 2.5Gb equipment and upgrading my internet speed, so I needed a 2.5Gb switch with more ports. I hate using more than one switch, but I will not have enough 2.5Gb equipment to justify replacing my 24 port gigabit switch. This Tenda switch has more than enough ports to meet my needs for a little while. Some reviews mention the switch getting hot, but it's difficult to say if it is this one since the reviews include different models by this companies. It does get slightly warmer than my other switches, but it does not seem excessive. I am really eager to do some internet speeds tests, but I first must wait for my provider to install a new ONT for that can handle 2.5Gb+.

Great switch at a fantastic price!
This is my first time using a switch with fiber ports. I ran 100m of OM3 cable between two buildings, and it connected right up, no problem. The reason for the -1 star is that I can't seem to connect at 2.5G between the same 2 Tenda switches - only at 1G. The 10GTek fiber receivers I'm using on each end are rated at 10G, as the cable, so not sure why the switch wouldn't connect at the higher speed. I see nothing in the Tenda manual on how to set a higher speed, so it must be auto-ranging? Other than that, the switch seems to work perfectly, and is a gem for the price. Update, 3 days later - the switch has now negotiated at 2.5 G on the fiber ports. Guess it needed a little time to settle in. Updating review to 5 stars.

It works fine, but for the price, you can get better
It works fine, but for the price, you can get better switches that have 2x 10GB SFP instead of 2.5 SFP.

Excellent device for a crowded room, home and probably otherwise.
Great, worked as described, easy to install, multiple devices connected and excellent continuity of bandwidth. No noise, excellent speed, plenty of ports.

Great value when it works (drops connectivity randomly)
Great options at an affordable price. Eight 2.5G ports plus two SFP ports (no adapters included) and unmanaged, it works out of the box. If you have broadband with over 1 GB download speeds, you'll finally be able to utilize that bandwidth on older CAT 6 cables. The bad, every few days it would drop connectivity. Internet wouldn't work, NAS couldn't access, etc. The fix was a quick unplug and plug back in. Not so bad but when you rely on smart home devices that need internet connectivity, it's a hassle to have to reset the switch especially if your alarm clock relies on internet access and it isn't connected in the middle of the night. This seems to be a common problem with this switch (read other reviews). Put my trusty Netgear gigabit switch (used for the last 6 years) back in and NO problems but back down to gigabit speeds. Will stay away from cheap switches and pony up the $$ for a reliable brand.

Excellent speeds and connectivity
Excellent quality and performance. This is the switch most people should be using. Virtual isolation of connections ensures guests isolation from my music and data servers. Getting speeds up to 1730 MBS. Cool running and well built. recommended

Speedtests were not good
We had a TPlink 2.5G 5-port router in my sons room and speeds were solid at about 1.0gb. I needed more ports so i bought this switch for the 8-ports and 2xSFP ports. Made sure the settings were set to normal so it was just a switch without any aggregated features. Through put dropped to between 40Mbps and 100Mbps. Tried 3 different network cards on my sons computer and plugged in my laptop into another port and it was always about the same throughput. Under 100Mbps. All cards were 1.0Gb or 2.5Gb. I then returned this and bought a TPlink 8-port and all ports run at 1.0-1.5Gbps. I think my cable to the router might be too long to sustain a 2.5Gbps speed, but still great. This could have just been a defective unit. It certainly happens with all brands, but i don't think i would try another of these units.

Not 2.5Gbps
Tested with iPerf and large SMB file transfer. Best speed I saw was 1.9Gbps with an average of 1.7Gbps. It may negotiate at 2.5G but it is certainly not capable of that bandwidth. And if you're thinking it was the cabling, the NICs, or whatever: same cables PC-to-PC i was getting full 2.5Gbps.
