I've used Surefire lights for years. This is my 1st Scout. Although it it pricey you get what you pay for. This light is quality. It is bright and not overly bulky. The included mount is sleek. It works every time. The runtime has been impressive. The light takes a beating and just works, period. I know that if my light depends on it I can count on this light to work.

This is a great light. There are brighter lights, there are ones with more modes like different illumination levels, and ones with rechargeable batteries. And there are certainly cheaper lights. But, with this one I know it's always going to come on if I need it and it's always going to come on full power. And it uses cr123 batteries with 10 year shelf life so I know it will always have juice and don't have to worry about charging it. For a defensive carbine those things are key. The integrated mount lets you get the light right up next to the rail and stays locked solid. If you want a weapon light and not just a flashlight this is the best there is and it's worth the money.
