Nice Starter Coding Toy
This is a nice toy to get small kids to explore basic programming. The kit comes with a programmable car and cards like described in the product page. I got this for my 6 year old nephew that stays with us a lot. The way I use it with him and my kids (from the youngest to the oldest) is that we try to see who can program the car the best to get to a specific place in the house. Tons of fun since we spice it up with smack talk and a lot of competitive spirit.

fun but tricky
this is a fun introduction to coding. it does seem bit expensive for $45 though. I think $25 sounds more fair. it can get tricky for my youngest child because you have to pay attention to what direction the car is going to be facing before inputting the directions.

Educational and fun
I have kids ranging from 5 to 15, and we all enjoy doing this activity. Even though the age recommendation is 4+, my 5 year old still needs help grasping the concept of programming this rover. I would say maybe a 6 year old could play with this alone, starting with more basic sequences. You can put in up to 100 commands at a time! That is what gives this toy such an amazing ability to grow with your child. This really helps build focus and logical thinking skills. The fact that it's also fun keeps kids interested so they keep playing and actually learn from it. The quality is great, and the buttons all function well. I like how this gives confirmation sounds when beginning and ending the sequences and also the feature of the magnetic rock. This helps them visualize the rover's path and gives a tangible destination that the rover stops at. The cards are good for helping to remember the coding sequence you put in, but I wish there were more than 20 cards since the rover accepts up to 100 commands. My kids will have to make more of their own, which isn't totally a bad thing. Also, the rover should have a rechargeable battery, especially with today's technology and accessibility. Not only are they much more convenient, but there is no reason to still be filling landfills with one time use disposables. Despite having these minor margins for improvement, this is still a great toy that I would highly recommend.

Red Rover, Red Rover ....
Picked this up for a young acquaintance, and it was an instant hit. I think the parents were pleased as well that it wasn't just another moving vehicle toy, but there was some significant learning going on as well. To be honest, I wouldn't mind sitting down with this myself for a while just to play around with it and test out its capabilities. Definitely a fun and educational gift! (And really, how often do those two words go together?) The rundown ...Quality -- Not bad here, but nothing super impressive at the same time. It's sturdy enough to last a while, for sure. 4/5Utility -- Exactly as advertised. It's fun, innovative, intriguing, and the target audience (young children) loved it. I might suggest that when it says "4+ years," that might be a bit ambitious. Most four year olds probably wouldn't quite get the handle on things, I think. 5/5Parity -- Good item for the price. Would highly recommend. 5/5

fun challenge
Good toy to get your child thinking. Space theme is generally liked by all kids. My child enjoys it, he is four so it does require some guidance. Good value.

Fun for all ages
This coding set is fun for kids and adults alike. I feel like the 4+ age is a little young for this activity even with adult help. I think 6+ is more realistic, but totally depends on the child. Older kids enjoyed coding the rover to reach an object or person across the room. The coding cards are good for visual learners to visualize what they are coding.

Good first coding learning device
The media could not be loaded. I thought that this was a good tool to help my kiddo learn the basics of programs and coding. She is just turning 4 and hasn't done any of this stuff before. The tools and game ideas are fun for when we really get going, but for now just having her push the buttons and watch how the rover follows the sequence of events is enough for us. Definitely a cool tool. It does take some attention span though, so we likely will only play with it in shorter chunks of time until she is older.

Really cool learning toy!
I was very skeptical of a "learning to code" toy that says it's for ages 4+. However, my four-year-old son is really into space and vehicles so I thought I'd give it a try. It's actually really cool! The instructions are very thorough and offer lots of ideas for fun activities/puzzles/challenges in increasing difficulty. This toy is surprisingly fun and requires some thinking. Very neat toy! Definitely for ages 4+ though.

Jouer et apprendre
Ce jouet est juste génial. Je trouve l'idée géniale d'initier les enfants au codage en les faisant jouer.Cela permet d'apprendre tout en s'amusant.Le prix est très intéressant, je recommande !

Fun and educational toy.
Lovely product to keep kids quiet. My children love things like this, they will spend ages engaged in things like this.Would make a lovely Christmas/Birthday present. We've actually recommended this product to a few people and bought more for gifts for my daughters school friends.

A little difficult
This toy is fun but a little difficult to use. It’s much better suited for an older child.

Inspiring and engaging but challenging and needs adult-support for younger users
The media could not be loaded. This coding set is fun and insightful of how to begin getting from A to B.As seen in the photos and video, by using double sided direction cards, I could support my child to navigate halfway around the map and first collect the astronaut, then to continue the journey to get the rock.Unfortunately the astronaut isn’t magnetic like the rock so the user does need to stop the rover and put the astronaut in the orange claw at the back, but the rock does attach to the front bumper of the rover. However, the user can’t then move or return with the rock, but there is celebratory music! It seems that the rover isn’t overly receptive of 90degree angles so some practice and good-enough attitude is necessary, although the wooden flooring might make a difference as it may be skidding - the rover does skid on the cards. The booklet provided has some good troubleshooting guides and 5 ideas of maps to navigate around household items then a qr code for more inspirationOverall, a fun game but would recommend for an older age than 4years old.
