I was looking for something in which to rinse rice. I didn’t want anything bulky that would take up room in my small kitchen. This strainer is perfect. Large enough to wash two full cups of rice with no “escaping” grains, lays flat, good quality mesh and is very inexpensive.

Great lil gadget. I was expecting it a bit bigger but it gets the job done. Used it a bunch and it’s still living however the edges are starting to come apart. Fits perfectly into the cover of my bowl. And you can just put it in the dishwasher so no need to clean butter by hand.

Works really well for making quark as quark has to strain for 12 hours in the fridge after the heating process. I like that it has the little ledges to keep the product from falling down into the whey during that time. I can see where it might be too fine for other recipes, but for my purpose, it's just what I need.

I really like this one. It works better than cheese cloth, traps more "sediment" and doesn't soak up liquids because it is non-absorbent. It is very easy to clean and I have reused it over and over many times. Just don't pour hot liquid through it, that will ruin it. I like it because it's deeper than my other ones and has tabs on it to prop it on top of your bowl, which my other ones don't have.

I used this to strain flavored whiskey, and it was a perfect mesh, leaving the fluid clear. The size is convenient, working well with funnels. I have filtered vegetables, peppers, and nuts effectively.
