Short Antenna Compatible with 2006-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500

Review of TEKK Short Antennas I recently switched to a set of TEKK short antennas for my vehicle, and after using them for a few weeks, I’m impressed with their performance and aesthetic appeal. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience: Design & Build Quality The TEKK short antennas are sleek and modern, with a compact design that significantly improves the appearance of my car. They’re about 4-6 inches long, depending on the model, and have a stylish, low-profile look that doesn’t stick out like traditional long antennas. I opted for the black matte finish, which complements my car’s exterior perfectly, but the antennas also come in a range of colors to match various vehicle aesthetics. Made from durable materials, including aluminum and high-quality plastic, these antennas feel solid and are built to withstand harsh weather conditions. The threading is precise, making installation easy, and I didn’t experience any issues with the antenna loosening or becoming damaged from car washes or outdoor conditions. Performance (Reception) The main concern when switching to a shorter antenna is whether it will affect radio reception. Thankfully, I found that the TEKK short antennas performed surprisingly well. I live in an area with decent radio signal coverage, so for regular AM/FM stations, I haven’t noticed any significant drop in reception compared to the stock antenna. I still get a clear, static-free signal in most areas. However, like most short antennas, they might struggle with signal strength in more remote or rural areas, or if you’re deep inside a building or under heavy tree cover. This is typical for short antennas, as they don’t capture signals as effectively as longer ones. For everyday city driving or moderate distance travel, however, the performance is more than adequate. Installation Installation was straightforward. The TEKK short antenna screws into the same base as my original antenna, and the process took just a couple of minutes. The threading on the antenna matched my car’s antenna base perfectly, so there was no need for any adapters or additional tools. It fits securely and doesn’t wobble or feel loose while driving. Aesthetic Appeal One of the standout features of the TEKK short antenna is its appearance. The short, sleek profile gives my car a cleaner, more streamlined look, especially when compared to the bulky, long stock antenna. It’s a noticeable improvement in aesthetics, making the car look more modern and stylish. Durability After several weeks of use, including driving through rain, snow, and washing my car regularly, the TEKK short antenna has held up well. The materials appear resistant to fading, cracking, or rusting. The coating on the antenna is durable, and there’s no visible wear and tear. The antenna still looks as good as the day I installed it, and the reception hasn’t diminished. Pros: • Sleek and stylish design that improves the look of your vehicle. • Easy installation that requires no special tools or adapters. • Solid build quality using durable materials. • Adequate reception for most urban and suburban environments. • Weather-resistant, withstanding car washes and harsh weather conditions. Cons: • Reduced reception in remote or rural areas compared to stock antennas. • Not ideal for those who rely heavily on AM/FM radio in areas with weak signals. Conclusion The TEKK short antenna is an excellent upgrade for anyone who wants to improve the look of their vehicle without sacrificing too much radio reception. Its sleek design, easy installation, and solid build quality make it a great choice for those who want a more modern, low-profile antenna. While it may not perform as well in areas with weak signals, it’s more than sufficient for everyday use in urban and suburban settings. If you’re looking for a stylish, functional antenna that doesn’t sacrifice aesthetics for performance, the TEKK short antenna is a solid choice. It’s the perfect balance of form and function for anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle’s appearance without losing essential radio connectivity.

Was a bit reluctant on how the quality of this will be. It actually surprized me. Have the same signal as my 1500 Silverado 2023 refreshed model. Gone with that noisy antenna. Very good quality and signal strength for my FM/AM system.

TLDR fits more vehicles than what it’s listed for, find the cheapest priced one and just use that. Saw this was listed for an FJ Cruiser, figured I’d give it a shot for my 2011 4Runner. When I opened the package I found it came with 4 different thickness screw in adapters so it’s really more of a universal antenna that’s marketed as customized, it’s not. Looks great on the car and makes it easier to go through car wash with a short antenna. Don’t know how the reception works on the radio since I mostly use Bluetooth but functions looks wise. Direct replacement, easy to install.

EDIT 3/15/25 - I'm editing my original review based on the company's customer service. No many companies take the time to read customer reviews, let alone, replace the product and no cost. The company saw my review and sent me a brand new replacement at no cost. I figured I would need to order something else, but that was not necessary. I installed the new one and discarded the old, I'm hoping this one lasts a little longer. Based on that service I'm changing my review to 4 stars. Thank you It fit well, worked good, looked good, but I started losing reception about 2 months ago. Today I was wiping my truck off after a carwash and noticed it was cracking near the base where the threads are. When I tried to tighten it, it completely broke off. When I looked inside the base I could see the base had broken and separated from the actual antennae that goes up inside the plastic part. I wish it would have lasted longer because I liked it when it worked but didn't even last me a year.

I definitely have upgraded the reception with this product!!! Easy to install. Hard steel screws that won't snap off!

The Tekk antenna company does not appear to maintain a website for support. Amazon's vendor support link took me to a "Tekk" company specializing in sports training equipment. My TEKK Short Antenna compatible with 2011-2026 Ford F-350 pickup truck had its outer shell detach after only 8 months in use in the Phoenix area. The inner base appeared to only rely on moderately barbed serrations to maintain grip between brass base and plastic shell. I would recommend caution with company's products unless support issues can be clarified.

It was easy to install, and you can’t even tell it is installed looks way better then the big stock antenna

The antenna works well, but I don’t recommend buying one. While I was cleaning my windshield at a gas station, it was bumped lightly with the windshield squeegee and snapped.

among tons of options available, chose this on back of reviews but struggling to get good radio reception. it came with 3 screws, use the longest one as most compatible for antenna socket - not achieving radio reception as desired.

Did not fit my truck as stated in the description and seller says I’m responsible for return shipping!!!! Terrible seller, buyer BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Does not fit a 2025 bronco even though it is advertised as it does

works great and isn't very obtrusive on the front of my hood

Awesome
