Perfect for Detailing – Powerful and Durable!
As a professional detailer, I’ve used a variety of wet/dry vacuums, but this Vacmaster Professional Wet/Dry Vac has quickly become one of my favorites. The 5.5 HP motor provides all the power I need to tackle even the toughest cleaning jobs, from wet spills to fine dust in tight areas. The 1-7/8" hose is the perfect size for getting into small spaces like vents and cupholders. The 5-gallon capacity is ideal for detailing vehicles, allowing me to clean out interiors and quickly move from job to job without constantly having to empty it. The vacuum is compact and easy to maneuver, which is crucial when working in tight spaces. It’s also pretty quiet compared to other vacuums in its class, making it easy to use in busy environments without disrupting everything around me. Pros: ✔️ Powerful 5.5 HP motor makes quick work of any job ✔️ 1-7/8" hose is perfect for detailed work and tight spaces ✔️ 5-gallon capacity is ideal for vehicle detailing without frequent emptying ✔️ Compact and durable—built to last ✔️ Quiet operation compared to other vacuums in this class Cons: ✘ Hose length could be a little longer for large jobs, but that’s easy to work around with an extension Final Thoughts: If you’re a professional detailer or someone who needs a reliable, powerful vacuum for wet/dry cleaning, this is a solid choice. It’s built tough, works great for vehicle interiors, and helps me get the job done faster and more efficiently.

Tons of research paid off - this is the one!
I decided I wanted to get serious about detailing my car and that meant getting a good shop vac. I started out looking at the usual suspects with he tub style shop vacs and honestly I discounted the "hand held" style. After reading ton of reviews and watching a ton of videos, I changed my mind and boy am I glad I did. - This things sucks! And I mean that in the best way. The suction power is amazing. I had 4 years of dirt and sand in my cars carpets and this thing got it all out. Even after I thought it had gotten everything I dumped the canister and went over the car one more time. Tons more came out. - The attachments are excellent. Everything you need for detailing a car is right there. The crevice tool and the car nozzle do 90% of the work. Keep in mind this is a suction only vacuum. No rotating brushes, just pure sucking power. - The cord is long and so is the hose. I couldn't quite get both sides of the back seat of my civic with the hose but getting past half way was no problem even with it sitting outside. You won't have a "dead zone" in the middle you cant reach easily. - If you need to do a lot of water work, this might not be the right one. Without wheels, you will be doing all the work to move this around once it is filled with water. But that doesnt mean it cant handle it. I soaked my floor mats and then used this to clean them while wet to get even more dirt out and had no issue. It takes about a minute to switch from being a dry only to a wet dry. If you are looking for a car vac, stop looking. This is what you want. If you want an easy to move shop vac for cleaning dusty areas, this is great. The only thing I would not use it for is large (2-4 gallon) liquid jobs and thats just because it will get heavy fast. It will do the job, it just won't be easy. Highly recommended.

SUPERB DESIGN | POWERFUL & TOP NOTCH PERFORMANCE | BLOWER MANAGEMENT A +
SUCTION POWER The suction power is just as powerful as you expect and it meets all expectations and justifies the highest rating it has received in many reviews. Easily beats everything else that I've tried before. A test for vacuuming a dirty car showed how efficient and useful it is. Cuts down the vacuum time by a lot. Another plus is that it can handle wet messes just as well. BLOWER EXHAUST Like bigger models that I was hoping to avoid, it has a permanent powerful hot exhaust that is also known as the blower. There is no way around this. All vacuums must create an exit for the suction. The blower functionality from the other end can't be turned off. The suggestion is to insert the sound muffler that comes with the accessories to reduce the sound and may decrease the intensity of air flow output and it works wonders. It works very well in eliminating the hot nasty blast and reduces the sound by a lot. But because it is hot and the foam is made of petroleum based materials, it will produce a chemical like odor. That will go away with time but at least in the beginning sessions of operation, the odor is very unpleasant. Not suggested for use in closed spaces initially. Also don't overlook the usefulness of a blower function. It can dub as a leaf blower, replace compressed air can functions like cleaning computer boards if you fit it with the right adapters and even help inflate things. DESIGN Overall, it is better than competition both in terms of accessories and size. I also like the attempts for helping the user organize the accessories and the hose. There are places to put in the attachments so they won't go missing. INCREDIBLE PRICE It is worth every penny and beats every other model I've tried/owned. You would think a combination of all this which is a rarity in all other models would be very costly but it isn't. The bags are priced very reasonably and easily replaceable/accessible. No price gouging on frequent replacement and throw away designs. NEEDS A CARRYING/STORAGE CASE Difficult to find any storage or carrying case for it. I wish they made one for the unit. There are also no wheels or rolling cart attachment solution. It is primary designed to be set up on a wall, on the floor and be carried on the go. NON-WHEELED This is a non-wheeled vacuum designed to be used as stationary vac shop, hung from a wall or otherwise manually placed close to the mess you are cleaning up. You can make a cart for it and turn it into a wheeled version. Therefore it is not suitable to be used as a substitute for a traditional vacuum. The other issue is that the type of hose is suited for stationary tasks and doesn't have a rotate mechanism at the attachment points like wheeled based variants that would adjust to the pull and push action of vacuuming.

Very high quality vacuum. Suction is amazing.
I am very happy with this wet/dry vac. I've only used it as a dry vac so far, but it has exceeded my expectations. It does an exceptional job of sucking up just about anything. The attachments are great, except there's no brush attachment, so if you want one, you'll need to find an after-market attachment. The one I bought is the CRAFTSMAN 38725 1-7/8" Dusting Brush Wet/Dry Vac Attachment available on Amazon for about $11. It works fine with this vacuum. I also bought the Vacmaster 5 - 6 Gallon Standard Dust Bag, 3 Pack, VDBS also available on Amazon for about $11. These bags keep the mess to a minimum within the unit and allow you to just throw it in the trash. To my surprise, my wife is the one who is using this vac all the time. She's found all sorts of clean-up projects for this unit and she loves the light weight and portability of it. We have a couple of Kirby upright vacs that have hose attachments, but the Kirbys are very cumbersome and heavy to use. My wife loves the Vacmaster. She just carries it around the house and flips the switch! I've used it to clean the interior of my 2018 Highlander and it's just perfect for that job. Again, I basically gave up trying to use the Kirbys to vacuum my car -- it's just way too clumsy and impossible to maneuver. Using the Vacmaster is a breeze in the car. The sucking power of this unit is pretty awesome -- much more powerful than I was expecting (that's a GOOD thing!). I can highly recommend this vac.

Pleasantly Surprised x2
I had been looking at all of the shop vac manufacturers, e.g. Shop Vac, Vacmaster, Stanleu, Rigid, etc., I was not familiar with Vacmaster and the Beast. My requirements were: 1. power; 2. price; 3. portability/maneuverability; and, 4. reliability, in that order. So after looking over the reviews and going to YouTube, I decided get out of my comfort zone and give Vacmaster a chance, the price point was nice and I am sucker for the "5.5 Peak HP" marketing since it seems to be used consistently by all the manufacturers. It was delivered early (good job Amazon) and when I opened it and got into the initial assembly and whatnot, I was just struck by the material quality, especially the vacuum hose. Pleasant surprise no.1 was the vacuum hose. I am used to cheap plastic vacuum hoses that feel flimsy and end up with me spending more money on duct tape than I did on the vacuum. Not here, the hose is heave and dense and this will be a strange adjective, but it is supple. It is just a really nice quality material hose. Everything else was up to snuff and reflects that is is a well manufactured product. They included a vacuum bag as a gift so I set it up to run dry with the bag and the dust filter. It came with noise dampening contraption that I decided to wait before using so that I could hear it "raw" and then hear it "suppressed," I was anticipating needing my ear protection when it was running. Pleasant surprise no. 2 was just how quiet it was without the suppressor gadget in place. I have a Bissell Bing and it is so much louder and more obnoxious than the Beast, I am talking magnitudes of difference in noise. The Beast can be run without hearing protection COMFORTABLY, there isn't any discomfort from the noise. So I am very happy with my decision so far, and yes it has some awesome suction. I won't be able to assess its reliability until I have used it a few months, but initial impressions are good. I had to knock a star off my initial review because the first pleasant surprise, i.e. the hose, didn't hold up as expected. The marketing materials promote the blower functionality of this cleaner, (which is good and no complaints) but after having used it a couple of days I swapped the hose around to use the blower function and after about 5-10minutes, the hose separated from the connector on the end of the hose that was not attached to the vacuum clear, but is the end where you suck in or blow everything out. Inspecting the hose and the connector, I could see that hose could be "screwed" back on, and with a little heavy duty glue, I should be back up and running. But stll, I loved that hose when I first opened the box...

The Beast You Need: Vacmaster Professional Wet/Dry Vac! 🧹
I’ve been using the Vacmaster Professional Wet/Dry Vac for over a year now, and I can confidently say, this thing is a beast! Here’s my take: Pros: Powerful Performance: With 5.5 HP, this vac sucks up everything from dust bunnies to workshop debris like a pro. It’s like having a tornado in a can! Versatile Wet/Dry Capability: Whether it’s a spilled drink or sawdust, this vac handles it all with ease. It’s the Swiss Army knife of vacuums. Durable Build: This beast is built to last. It’s been my trusty sidekick on countless job sites and still works like a charm. Large Capacity: The 5-gallon capacity means fewer trips to empty it out. More cleaning, less fuss. Professional-Grade Hose: The 1-7/8" hose is sturdy and flexible, perfect for those hard-to-reach spots. Cons: It’s a bit bulky. (But hey, all that power has to go somewhere!) Can be a bit loud. (Think rock concert, not library.) Cord could be longer. (Just a minor gripe when you're on a roll.) I absolutely love this vac, and I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. It’s lasted more than a year, and it’s still going strong. If you need a reliable, powerful vacuum for your home or job site, the Vacmaster Professional Wet/Dry Vac is the way to go. Trust me, this beast won’t let you down! 🌟

This vaccuum is exactly what I was looking for.
I wanted a shop vac mostly for being able to vacuum my car, but also to have something for DIY/home repair projects where vacuuming would save a lot of time over constantly sweeping up. Also wanted to have a vacuum with a decently long hose for those situations where our upright vacuum just isn't ergonomic or convenient. This thing fit the bill perfectly. I got it as an open-box special, so it was a great deal (less than $70, normally $100). I decided it was better to save money on an open box model without the wheels and then get a furniture dolly for it. That way if I'm in a situation where I don't want it to roll/move, I can just unhook the bungee cords and take it off the wheels easily. With the 5.5 peak HP motor, this thing has more suction than the pay-vacuum at our local car wash. I'm gonna get a reducing adapter for it so I can hook it up to my power tools that have a suction port. I'm also considering getting one of those carpet extractors for it. I know that it won't hold a TON of water, but I think it would hold enough for extracting seats or a vehicle carpet before having to dump it. Other than that, I won't use it for wet cleanup. But this thing truly is everything that people say it is. I haven't had any problem with mine. Saw a couple reviews where other people's tub/container cracked from the strong suction. I thought maybe I'd cut a few 1x1 wood brace pieces and put them inside the container as a brace.

Powerful vacuum that does not take a lot of space.
These review is divided into two parts: This vacuum is powerful and is very transportable. Unlike most vacuums which are bulky and larger, this vacuum is quickly picked up and transported to where it is needed. Can easily fit into the trunk of a car. The small size does mean that it would have to be emptied more often, especially if sucking water but for my uses (mainly personal car detailing) capacity is fine. The accessories thar come with the vacuum are good quality and should last a long time. (1) Extension Wand does come with the vacuum but a second one would have been nice. They are relatively cheap to purchase another so I have done that. I would rate the vacuum 5 stars but it came missing an accessory. Contacted the manufacture and item is on backorder. Over three months, still have not received the item. I bought an additional accessory kit so the missing item is not important but would like to receive missing item. (update missing piece arrived around 5 months)

Incredibly compact and powerful shop vac - great value for money
Pros: - Relatively compact design. Not too heavy, easy to bring around - Very strong suction, especially when you consider the size - Good array of accessories, perfect to use for car detailing at home - Super solid build quality. The plastic, while light, is super durable Cons: - None really Overall: This is my first Shop vac and I have to say I’ve been really happy with this. While this isn’t your conventional shop vac, with no wheels on the base, it’s super portable and well built. Love the large array of accessories. I use this for odd jobs and to detail my car, which this has been perfect for. For the money, this is a really great value. Overall would recommend!

Upgraded 3 Star to 5 Star Rating
I had originally left a 3 star review on this item, not because it's not an excellent vacuum, nor because the seller didn't live up to their promises, but because it is on the UK Amazon site, but comes from Florida and is 120V rather than 240 and I thought it valuable for other UK buyers to be aware of this. I did not think the seller was purposely trying to mislead. They have since responded to me thanking me for the feedback, stating they are making improvements to clear up any confusion and presumably point out that a transformer will be required for European use. Consequently I have upgraded my rating to 5 Star.

Great but doesn’t work in the uk
Vacuum is excellent, has very good suction and the design is well thought out. Unfortunately it is not compatible for the uk, as it works on 110v.
