Wasn’t sure 100% if it would work but I plugged it into my 2020 Skoda Kamiq and it connected to my iPhone within seconds. It’s worth looking up what it will and won’t do before buying, to see if it does what you want. It gives basic car running info.

Bought hoping this would work in my new Skoda Superb. At a fraction of the cost of the Skoda version it has to be tried and in fact it does work. App performs a firmware update on first connection and works faultlessly.

Product does successfully what I wanted it for, I am a bit SAD and like Statistics so the Data Plug sends driving data to my phone and it can also detect/identify problems with the VW Golf.

Not a diagnostic tool, more a topic for review on your mobile phone of journeys done.

Good device, plugs directly into the car and tells me information about the car and about the driving style. Information is good and it tells me what I need to know. Works via the app and blueooth on your phone. Works well.

Bought this for my 2017 Skoda Kodiaq as I didn't want to pay the £40 or whatever for the skoda version. Downloaded the app, turned the engine in, put the plug in and after a big update hey presto!

No idea if it'll stay connected but it was a legit VW dataplug and synced to the app effortlessly. We'll worth the near 50%of the asking price in a garage

Purchased the Škoda version from my local dealer for £40. It is exactly the same as this one because Škoda is VW. I had issues with the iOS app which would not update the plug. I returned it for a refund and then found that they are brand new on a popular auction site for around £7 including p&p. I purchased one (VW) branded and it works on my Škoda after updating the plug to the latest software (using a family members Android phone before reconnecting it to my iPhone due to the dodgy iOS app). It now works a treat. Don’t pay any more than £10 for these though. In fact most dealers will give you one for free with a used car so it might be worth asking them nicely for a freebie!

Ich habe durch Zufall von diesem Dataplug erfahren und habe ihn direkt bestellt. Die Verpackung ist im Vergleich zum eigentlichen Stecker echt groß und es liegt eine mehrsprachige Anleitung bei. Der Stecker funktioniert nur in Verbindung der zugehörigen (kostenlosen!) VW Connect App. Die Installation ist denkbar einfach, einfach auf den OBD2 Anschluss stecken (bei VW meist links vom Kupplungspedal). Danach einfach Zündung ein und die App starten (Bluetooth muss natürlich aktiv sein). Dann geht alles automatisch. Der Stecker funktioniert nur, wenn die Zündung eingeschaltet ist und die App auf dem Smartphone auch aktiviert wurde. Wenn man sie während der Fahrt komplett beendet, also nicht im Hintergrund weiterlaufen lässt, funktioniert es nicht. Die App zeigt einem viele nützliche Dinge an. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Aufzeichnung der Fahrten. Über eine Karte sieht man exakt, wo man langgefahren ist, wieviele Km man fuhr, Zeit, Kraftstoffverbrauch in Liter etc. Servicetermine und mögliche Fehlercodes werden auch ausgelesen. Der Stecker ist eine super Zusatzqualifikation um seinen Wagen ein wenig digitaler zu gestalten (ich selbst fahre einen Golf 7 Variant Bj 2014). Bereit habe ich es keineswegs. Die Funktionen sind sehr informativ.

Utile per chi ha a cura la propria macchina e vuolw tenere traccia di consumi e tragitti a lungo termine. Si installa facilmente si accoppia alla app e non appena si mette in moto inizia a registrare i dati. Oltre ai report dei tragitti ai quali fornisce i vari score sullo stile di guida permette di tenere traccia di tutti i rifornimenti e relatici consumi/spesa carburante. La app e fatta bene ed e molto chiara aiuta anche in caso di emergenza a chiamare il servizio WV
