The picture shows 1 gallon product, and states it covers up to 4000 sq ft. Is it more concentrated than the 1000 sq ft bottle?

The 1 gallon of grass paint is the same product as in the quart; just 4 times bigger.

How would you perform an artificial turf?

Not sure. Probably would. Just coats foliage of real grass. Best for dormant. Buy smaller quantity and test.

How frequent would it need to be applied to artificial turf?

This paint is not made for artificial turf. I apply this paint to real grass at the beginning of summer when my grass turns brown from lack of rain water. One application lasts me all summer long. When the rain starts again in the fall the grass turns natural green again and by the time summer comes around I paint my grass again. Painting my lawn saves me over $300 on my water bill each summer. It takes me about 1-1/2 hours to paint my lawn.
