Top Post Battery Disconnect Switch 12V - 48V, Marine Battery Switch Disconnect Power Cut Shut Off for Car, RV and Boat (Negative, On/Off)

I found this item on Amazon last year and thought it would be just what I needed to make disconnecting my NEG battery cable easier when I knew my car was not going to be driven for a while. Once installed, which is very easy, this switch has worked great without any hassle. I am now a repeat buyer and can say that both purchases have been great. We have 2 cars which are not used often and have always disconnected the NEG battery cable from the battery so as to keep the battery charged when the cars are going to sit around for a few weeks or months at a time without being started. In the past, I had no problem removing the NEG battery cable from the battery by loosening the nut. But to do this you need use your tools, and when you do this over and over, sometimes it makes the nut a little sloppy, after a while, I was not really able to tighten everything down as I would like to do, from the repeated loosening and tightening of the bold/nut. Now that I have installed this switch, it makes the process so much easier! First, I don't need any tools, I just pop the hood and turn the switch to red (off) when I'm not going to use the car for a while. When I'm ready to drive again, I pop the hood, and turn the switch to green. (see pictures) One thing to note, once the battery is turned off, you will need to open your car door via the physical key, because the key fob (push button) will no longer work. Since we rarely used the actual key prior to this, we sprayed some graphite power in the key-hole just to keep everything lubricated in there so the key would turn easy. I hope this review helps, I know this item is made in China and some of them have been DOA, but both the ones I ordered have worked great out of the box and held up for months so far.

My truck's battery kept getting drained after a few days of not using it. It is an older truck that I use for hauling and I didn't want to invest the time and money, so this absolutely works great. It is sturdy, holds in place, and is easy to install. Fits on standard 18mm negative terminal.

This switch does the job it is intended to do. On the other hand, it is not very sturdy when tightening the battery cable to it. Take care to not let it bend. Really good price though.

Works as intended but a year later I had problems starting my car and found out it had split and broke on it's own. Shame it was exactly what I needed . it was cracked and the connection became loose on the terminal post. Upon inspection it just broke and I removed it. It's still in new condition too what a shame

As described. Could be flexible to adjust to fit different length battery cables. It works but cables barely fit between the battery and the cable.

this is really a must have if you need to kill your battery connction overnight without the need for tools. the fitment isn't that great though. the battery post side of it is way too small. I had to get a pair of spreader pliars to widen it for the battery post to fit, and then had trouble screwing the clamp so it doesn't try to undo itself. put two shims on to make it work. I'd get it again, but I'd honestly want to mod it so it's not

عندي سيارتين وحده فيهم قليل استخدامها وتفضى بطاريتها كل فترة وشفت اصحاب القوارب والجت سكي يستخدمون هذه القطعة لانهم نادراً ما يخرجون القوارب للبحر. سعرها مناسب وتركيبها سهل للغاية اشبك طرفها جهة السويتش الاحمر مكان كيبل بطارية السالب (-) واشبك كيبل السالب في الجهة النحاسية للقطعة وبعدها حرك السويتش للعلامة الخضراء لتشغيل السيارة او للعلامة الحمراء لفصل البطارية

Parfait je l'utilise sur mon camping-car. L'hiver il peu des fois rester plusieurs mois sans servir avec se coupe circuit sa me permet de ne pas avoir à débranché les cosses de la batterie et de plus l'installation est vraiment très facile.
