Floor Transition Strip for Carpet to Tile, Beige Grey, 10' x 1.97"

Great product that perfectly suited my needs! The edge of the carpet on the border between the stone tile floor of my entryway and the carpeted area of the adjacent hallway was beginning to fray, and unfortunately my dog was trying to eat those fibers. I covered the edge of the carpet with duct tape for a quick fix, but that certainly wasn't aesthetically pleasing or a permanent solution. This carpet trim was just what I needed. Here are a few key points and suggestions: * It looked exactly as described. The color was spot-on, as was the size. * The vinyl seems durable enough for a moderate-traffic area. * While it can be cut with large scissors, shop shears (mine are Fiskars Pro Powerarc) make the job much easier. * Totally get some shop shears. It's an inexpensive piece of kit and super-handy. * Measure twice, cut once! I used a black Sharpie to make my cutting line. * It arrives rolled up, so be sure to roll it in the opposite direction and leave it for about 15-30 minutes to flatten out. * Be sure to use the included primer, but be warned: it doesn't smell very good. Keep pets/kids away while it dries. * I used the edge of a weighted-down box to help ensure I was laying it down in a straight line. * Once it's stuck, it's pretty stuck. * Installation took less than 10 minutes (after it flattened out, of course). * It's very low-profile, and comfortable to step on. * Hasn't shown any signs of coming loose from either the tile or the carpet. Overall, I'm very pleased with the performance and price. Highly recommended.

I had new tile installed in my bathroom, and needed something to transition from the tile to the flooring in the hallway. This is an easy, quick, cheap solution. It has held up great for several months and still going strong. I'm going to purchase this for another transition in my home, too.

Great solution to transition flooring. Secure adhesive, cuts easily with scissors, good quality, looks like a real wood threshold.

These look pretty good. They are easy to place, and easy to trim. The adhesive is ok, not as strong as i would like, but decent.

Exactly what I needed. We had a room in our basement finished but the construction team wouldn't mess with the carpet to LVP. I needed something that could cover the metal carpet strip and the raw edges of the LVP and handle the gap and different levels. This was super easy to install and finished everything off perfectly. I cut it with a regular pair of scissors.

The material is very good quality and the adhesive works really well. Im giving it a three because for the price I was only able to use the roll on one door way. It can also look a bit cheap but then again at distance you don’t notice. So really my main complaint is I could only use it on one door and the excessive wasn’t long enough to use anywhere else.

Sticks well and matched the floor color perfectly.
