ShinHan Professional Watercolor Paint 12ml Tubes 20 Color Set

I've been teaching beginner watercolor for adults for 20 years, and these paints are an incredible bargain. Very, very good quality for an amazingly low price. May I suggest filling your palette wells to the tippity-top and letting the paint dry for 24 hours before you spritz it with water to use it. (Keep out of reach of children and pets, of course, while it dries out.) Rich color, blends easily, my students find it far superior to the little cakes of paint they sometimes bring. (Also, ShinHan's Professional grade is more expensive, but totally worth it for experienced watercolorists. One of my very favorite brands.)

The pigment is fantastic. So many vibrant colours. Good quality watercolour.

Nice array of colors the blend well

I love these paints, great pigmentation, transparency and texture are amazing, easy to reactivate. Great affordable price.

The box was well packed and in great shape, and inside the tubes were very nicely laid out, all clean and very nicely organized from Reds/Browns through to Blues I found the tubes very easy to squeeze into my palette and they had pigment and lightfastness information on them. As an aside, they're great for someone learning watercolor but if you are painting professionally I would spend the extra money and go for the PWC line. All that aside they are very nice to paint with wet, and now that they've dried, rewet easily, somewhere between M. Graham and Daniel Smith. Bright, vibrant colors that are suitable for illustration. They're what I was looking for, which was an everyday paint that won't break the bank while I'm goofing around in my sketchbook, but also won't frustrate me by being chalky or muddy. These are a good choice!

These watercolors are great. I would put the colors up against many “name brand professional” paints. The colors are vibrant and lovely.

I spent considerable time reviewing watercolor purchase options before deciding on the ShinHan professional water color 20 piece set. Having been a watercolorist for over 20 years I can honestly say these watercolors are right up there with Windsor Newton (which I usually purchase), and I will more than likely purchase these again in the future. The pigments and colors are rich and versatile. Thank you for a fantastic product.

These are the first watercolor tubes I’ve used (only used a tray), so I don’t have a lot to compare them to. But the colors are great, and I have not had any problems with the tubes. The pigments are vibrant and thick. The only thing I could ask for would be to provide a few more common names for some of the colors. A few teachers I’ve watched use color names that this set does not have, so I have to research to see exactly what color they are using. But I’ve been able to figure it out, and I am having fun experimenting.
