tried severa lof the CD boomboxes and this is the only one that was good enough to keep. not likely to be unhappy or disappointed with this CD player. no needless high tech "improvements"....just plain old simple "push this button" and it plays beautifully. also has easy to use repeat funcytions. real nice little CD box.

I purchased this item July 8, 2021...and will be ordering another ASAP. Did it break? Nope. Did it stop playing discs? Nope. Did it get bad reception? Nope. New kitten, liter training,since the cat still learning...well...it didn't end well for the boombox. *sigh* If not for the cat, however, I'd still be using it now! My kids and I go to the park (trails and the tennis courts when empty) to roller skate and we always bring this little thing along so we can create our own outdoor "rink" complete with music blaring. The sound quality is pretty amazing for the price/size, much better than even I expected. Can't wait to get my new one...but I will definitely be keeping this one away from all things furry!

Not a bad little cd player. Plays well as is very easy to use. Kind of cheaply made, but it serves the purpose. I was looking for a small cd player that didn’t take up a lot of room and played and worked well. For the money, this is a fine little cs player! I would recommend it to someone who has need for a small little player like this. Great little player!

Well I am covered in beads of sweat and POed to the max after trying to get the C batteries in place. That's right. It took forever. Why? The spring slip around as you are trying to center the battery and compress the spring flat. I shoved that battery as far as I could so that it would stay put but it kept flying out of it's compartment and straight UP into the air. After several attempts I'd get ONE in and as I'd be working on the next battery the fist one would decide to pop up on me. I was outside and my next door neighbor heard me cussing and she offered to help me. Young and fit jogger had to same issues so now we are BOTH cussing like sailors. I told her "I can't WAIT to write a review on this thing!" and here I am. NOTHING should be this hard to do. I bought a magnavox portable CD player identical to this one at least 10 years ago and I remember that the batteries just went in super smooth and easy. I still have the original one to compare. It works I just needed a second one for a vacation home. I examined the battery area on the older one and the plastic components on it are FAR superior as they are thicker MUCH harder plastic and the springs are softer and compress like a dream. NOT LIKE THIS NEW ONE I was cussing as sweat poured off of me. I'll do a another review of this after I've played the radio and the CD player because right now I just need to pour me a glass of wine, hit the recliner and decompress. I'm giving it one lousy star just for WEARING ME OUT!

Still going strong. The radio tunes in really good and the cd player works as good as new still.

This is definitely a CD player (and theoretically a radio, but I'm not using it for that). It's compact and looks fine. It plays audio CDs (but as far as I can tell, does not play MP3 CDs or anything). It has the worst speakers this side of the Dollar Tree. Muffled and somehow at the same time tinny. I can only describe it as "If I had to listen to music through these, I would hate music." thankfully I'm just using it to play lullabies for my kid at night and he doesn't seem to mind. I haven't tried the radio. I imagine it would have the same sound issues and the station uses a dial on the side with the number pressed into the dial so it seems kind of... difficult to tune but again, I haven't tried it since I don't need it... but if you need a radio I would recommend spending an extra three fiddy and getting something that shows the station on some kind of display... or at least a station BAR and not this dial. It has a little LED display but it only shows CD track numbers or the word "NO" when there's nothing loaded. Additionally there is no line out jack, so you can't connect it to better speakers. There IS a line-in jack if you have another device you want to play through this to punish yourself. Honestly, this is a music machine and it can only be used to listen to music poorly. Save your allowance, wait a week or two and get something better.
